The movie ‘Lost’ will highlight the “issue of media integrity”. Film maker Aniruddha Roy is best known for his film “Pink”which was released on 16 September 2016 starring Amitabh Bachchan and Tapsee Pannu in pivotal role. The story revolves around a girl named Minal who after being molested tries to file an FIR against the rapist and when the subsequent case gets rigged, Deepak, a retired lawyer, helps them to fight the case. The film won several awards which includes Filmfare Award for Best Dialogue and MORE.
According to Chowdhury, the film will be an emotional thriller and it will be shot across Kolkata and Purulia. Aniruddha Chowdhury also said, “The film explores themes like commitment, responsibility, holding hands, and making our world beautiful and compassionate. For me, it’s important that any film I make should have a social context and that the stories are taken from the world around us. ‘Lost’ is an emotional thriller that represents a higher quest, a search for lost values of empathy and integrity,”
The film is expected to start its shoot later on this month itself and will be produced by Zee Studios, Shareen Mantri Kedia, Kishor Arora, Sam Fernandes and Indrani Mukherjee.
