Deepika Padukone trolled heavily for auctioning clothes she wore at Jiah Khan’s and Priyanka Chopra’s fathers funeral

Deepika Padukone got backlashed for auctioning Kurtas she wore to Jiah Khan’s and Priyanka Chopra’s father’s funeral

Deepika Padukone is that one Bollywood actress who is loved by everyone inside and outside btown. This time the Bajirao Mastani actress is grabbing eyeballs for all the wrong reasons.

Ms Padukone decided to auction her clothes to support the Live Love Laugh Foundation and her collection has couture and non-couture pieces worn by her. Initiative taken by the actress towards the betterment of mental health. It started in the year 2015 and during covid- 19 she even launched ‘Frontline Assist’ for Covid warriors.

Deepika’s decision to auction her clothes has now come under the scanner and netizens are criticising her for putting up two Kurtas for sale. One of these kurtas was wore by her to Jiah Khan’s funeral and the other was worn to Priyanka Chopra’s father’s prayer in 2013.

One of the Twitter users wrote on her tweeter, “I am so shocked.. my favourite Deepika Padukone has auctioned her non couture clothes from 2013.. I repeat 2013 that she wore to different funerals events. Low blow!”.
The other user said, “Who the hell buys old, second hand zara or Jhuttis for god’s sakes!!!! Rather why would you sell it and not donate this to the needy… classless! Sheesh.”
Amidst all these someone commented, saying, “Fans of these actors are immense. They will do anything for them: these clothes are actually being sold for a paltry sum and their fans will obviously buy them.”

This shows how much anger is there amongst people for her action. Now only time will tell of audiences forgive and forget this act when she comes up with her new releases.
