Enforcement Directorate has summoned actress Yami Gautam to record her statement in connection with the alleged irregularities

Actress Yami Gautam has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). As per the post, she has been called for questioning regarding an alleged violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

The ED has asked Yami Gautam to appear before the federal agency on (7th July) to record her statement in connection with alleged irregularities under Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). This is reportedly the second time that the actress has been summoned by the ED.

According to the agency sources, an amount over Rs 1 crore had come in the bank account of the actress from a foreign based entity and FEMA guidelines were not followed after which the bank had informed ED about the said transaction.

The first summon was issued to her last year, but she failed to visit the ED office due to lockdown restrictions, an official informed.

Meanwhile, the actress recently tied the knot with director Aditya Dhar in the presence of their close family members. Yami announced her wedding with a stunning picture of herself and Aditya on June 4.
