
Hotstar special “Rudra-The edge of darkness” to caste Ajay Devgn and Ileana D’cruz as the male and female protagonist again. Actor Atul Kulkarni would too be seen in the series. And this would be the first time Kulkarni and Devgn would share the screen. Raashi Khaana, a huge South Indian Actress who was seen playing John Abraham’s wife in Shoojit Sircar’s Madras Café, will also be a major part of this series.
This duo was loved for the films like Raid and Baahshao and now we would see a different angle of them in this series. This is to be shot in the local areas of Mumbai. This is announced to be one of a kind crime series and will be produced by Applause Entertainment in association with BBC studios.
With so many projects in hand Ajay Devgn will be all on air for both Maidan and this yet to come series. Atul Kulkarni will also not just be seen in ‘Rudra- The edge of Darkness’ but also in ‘The city of dreams- season 2’ again of Applause Entertainment and that too will be released on Disney+Hotstar the OTT platform.

Rudra – The Edge of Darkness is a gripping series that will surely disrupt the genre of cop dramas in India. With Rajesh Mapuskar helming the project, it will be exciting to work on this thriller. The series also comprises a stellar cast, and I can’t wait to begin filming this one. I am delighted to team up with Applause Entertainment again post the hit political drama City of Dreams.”
The actress from Tamil and Telugu films, Raashi too said, “I am very excited to be a part of Applause Entertainment’s Rudra – The Edge of Darkness.
