In the era of influencers where influencing means making reels and promoting brands, does this kind of influence we needed ever for our generation?
We don’t think so, instead of living their authentic, raw, and contemporary lives, teenagers are busy making their lives seem more visible socially. Although there are some influencers who inspire fans to be raw and unapologetic, one of them is Jhanak Shukla.

Now, you would be wondering who is Jhanak Shukla, then you must recall Indian television series that was a remake of the 1980’s American TV series ‘Small Wonder- ‘Karishma Kaa Karishma.’
Yes, the series telecasted on Star Plus on 24 January in the year 2003. It was produced by Sunil Doshi of Alliance Media & Entertainment, and starring Jhanak Shukla as the Robotic Kid Karishma. Jhanak was also seen in ‘Kal Ho Na Ho.’

This girl made us cry in Kal Ho Naa Kal and entertained us in Karishma Kaa Karishma. Her acting skills made children jubilant in that era. But after some time she became lost from the screen but not from the memories of her beloved audience.
Jhanak Shukla is now calling herself an ‘Archaeologist’ not an ‘Actress’ (as per her Instagram account). In one of her interviews, she stated, “Her retirement has already begun. Her parents say that as she doesn’t work as much. she chills. she makes soaps. she roams around. She writes sometimes. And she has completed her masters so she says It’s okay.”
She influences people with her witty captions. We all talk about body positive but Jhanak means it. Sometimes she will post pictures where she is having a Double cheese margarita and making fun of her clothes by saying “yes I’m wearing a carpet.”

She enlightens her followers by showcasing that perfect clothes, luxury, and perfect body should not be a goal rather skills, satisfaction, and smile should be the ultimate purpose.
