Actor Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra who is a businessman was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch on July 19 for his ostensible involvement in an adult film racket. The 45-year-old businessman is currently under judicial custody till July 23rd.
On Tuesday the officials confirmed that they haven’t found any active role of his wife, Shilpa Shetty yet.
“We have not been able to find any active role (of Shilpa Shetty) yet. We are investigating. We’ll appeal to the victims to come forward and contact the Crime Branch Mumbai. We’ll take appropriate action,” said Milind Bharambe, Joint Commissioner of Police, Mumbai.
The trending articles indicate that Raj Kundra is registered as a director for more than nine companies. Including the Shilpa Yog Private Limited, named after the actress Shilpa Shetty. Other than that, he has also been listed as a director of the following companies like Cinemation Media Works, Bastian Hospitality, Kundra Constructions, J.L. Stream, Aqua Energy Beverages, Viaan Industries, Whole and Them Some Private Limited and Clearcom Private Media.
It is believed that the pornographic content was allegedly posted on an app called HotShots. The app itself was developed by a company owned by Raj Kundra aka Ripu Sudan Kundra.
The Police Commissioner of Mumbai, Hemant Nagrale on Monday said that “There was a case registered with the Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 about the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some Apps. We’ve arrested Mr Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this. We have sufficient evidence regarding this”.
