Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan were to team up for the film The Immortal Ashwatthama. However, the said film has been shelved for an indefinite period and now the latest media reports suggest that the duo has been roped in for director Laxman Utekar’s next rom-com.
Laxman Utekar has gained quite a fan base with his latest Kriti Sanon starrer Mimi and not to forget his previous Luka Chuppi. Both the film was backed by Dinesh Vijan’s production house Maddock films which will also be producing Utekar’s next.
Media reports also suggest that it is slice of life film with a social twist. The script of the said film was locked some months ago and it is slated to go on floors on 15th November.
Sara Ali Khan’s next is the Netflix film Atrangi re which will see her romancing a much older Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Dhanush in a prominent role. Vicky Kaushal also has his next release, Sardar Udham Singh ready. The film is a Shoojit Sircar directorial and is slated to hit Amazon Prime Video on 16th October 2021.
