Yash Raj Films announce Shamshera, Prithviraj, Bunty Aur Babli, Jayeshbhai Jordaar release dates

Cinemas have finally zeroed on the date when they would be open once again in Maharashtra. Well, yes, the theatres will star functioning in the economic capital of India from 22nd October. And therefore, Yash Raj Film (YRF) has decided to let out the release dates of some films under its banner.

Well, Bunty Aur Babli 2 which is a family entertainer will be out in the cinemas worldwide on 19th November, 2021. The film is directed by Varun Sharma who has been working as an assistant with “Yash Raj Studios for a fairly long time now and has also assisted on the sets of Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. The film stars Siddhanth Chaturvedi and Sharvari as the new Bunty and Babli. However, for the lovers of the first part, there is no reason to be disappointed as Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherji too will be part of the film.

Yash Raj Studios have mostly delved into films that have a romantic backdrop. Therefore, with the Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj, the production house is venturing into unknown arena. The film will be the first ever historical to be produced under the banner. Directed by Chandra Prakash Dwivedi the film will chronicle the life and times of the brave Prithviraj Chauhan and his battle with Mohammad Ghori. Manushi Chillar will make her debut with the film portraying the role of Sanyukta. Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood too will have extremely important roles to play in the film. The film is all set to release on the Republic day of 2022.

The Ranveer Singh starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar is set in Gujarat and is touted to be a family entertainer. Divyang Thakkar will make his directorial debut with the film that is all set to release on 25th February, 2022. Ranveer Singh will essay the role of Jayeshbhai who will be seen championing the cause of women empowerment. The film will star debutante Shalini Pandey opposite Ranveer.

And one of the most awaited films from the YRF stable Shamshera that has taken forever to release literally will finally see the light of day on 18th March 2022. The day of the festival of colours will see the Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt starrer hit the silver screen. Besides the two, Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt too will be seen in this Ayan Mukherji directorial in pivotal roles.
