Prabhas & Pooja Hegde starrer Radhe Shyam Release To Be Postponed Due To COVID-19?

It is the beginning of a whole new year with 2022 however, things are fare from different. The year 2021 end had seen many Bollywood releases but again, the makers of some big films are gearing towards postponing their releases due to the increasing cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

Well, many Bollywood celebrities have tested positive and the Maharashtra government once again is looking to re-impose bas on public gatherings and public places like malls and cinema halls. With this predicament, Bollywood is again set to lose millions. The makers are wary of releasing their film amid the new surge of the virus. Shahid Kapoor starrer Jersey was stopped from releasing last week, The Rajamouli directorial RRR also withdrew on Sunday and now Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer Radhe Shyam too is likely to take the same route.

According to an ETimes report, the makers of the film are deliberating on whether they should or should not release their film next Friday.

The director of the film Radha Krishna Kumar told the portal that even though they are not looking to postpone the release of the film just yet, if the situation worsens then they might have to think about it.

Due to the increasing number of the COVID-19 infection, many theatres are already shutting shows and the footfalls in the theatres have once again decreased. With so much money at stake it is unlikely that the makers will be willing to take the risk and release it this Friday. Many sources close to the film have already told us that the makers will surely not release the film on 14th January, 2022.
