Kenisha Awasthi seeks cyber police’s help after online trolls threatened to rape & kill her

In an unfortunate turn of events, actress Kenisha Awasthi found herself in the midst of an unsavoury and vicious hurricane of sexual harrasment when trolls threatened to rape and kill her. It all started after she answered a question, “Who she likes more? Emiway Bantai or Raftaar.” She selected Emiway categorically explaining how she shares a long standing friendship with him and how grateful she is for him to always be a supporter of hers since way before she even got famous which agitated Raftaar’s self-proclaimed fans online.

The fans started attacking her online on her social media accounts. Kenisha Awasthi did her best to control the situation and not heed online trolls until she received death and rape threats on her DM and comment sections.

We spoke on the matter with Kenisha, and here’s what she says, “I’m appalled, disheartened, and somewhat scared right now seeing how vicious this toxic fandom phenomenon can be. It was a simple question I was asked, and I selected one. I never said the other person is bad or worse. All I said was I don’t gravitate to his music. I don’t see anything wrong in it. Yet I’ve been constantly receiving death and rape threats. I mean, expressing displeasure is fine and harmless trolling is okay too but threatening on sexual and physical grounds there is simply not done. It’s why I’m moving to cyber police for help because this is a concern of safety. It makes me sad to think what women would be going through when they are bullied online.”

Ms Awasthi also took to her social media and write, “Raftaar fans are bullying me since yesterday when I chose Emiway over him, I need to reprot these guys to cybercrime and yes, I will choose Emiway over him today and always.” She captioned the post, “I need help because these goons that claim to be Raftaar fans are writing threatening and obscene messages in my DM since yesterady ..pls suggest how I can take this matter to the cops .”

Take a look –

Kenisha did look shaken up a bit with how things spiralled. However, as usual, her spirit and conscience were spot on to not bow down to such petty online trolls.
