Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has been trolled massively on social media since news broke about Bebo allegedly asking for Rs 12 crore to play the mythological character of Sita in an upcoming film. Social media platforms are abuzz with discussions about remuneration. Shortly, people started to protest against Bebo. The main idea behind the uproar was to boycott Bebo and ask the makers to drop her from the film.
Actor Pooja Hedge has now come out in support of Kareena Kapoor Khan.
In an exclusive interview with the ETimes, Pooja said that Bebo is only asking for what she deserves. Pooja agreed that if a man had demanded a huge sum, no one would have questioned him. She then added, “Like the song goes, ‘ Kuch toh log kahenge, logo ka kaam hai kehna (People will always have an opinion because that’s what they do)’. That’s a part and parcel of the job and I am sure even Kareena herself was unfazed by it. More power to her! She is asking for what she thinks she is worth and it is the producer’s call at the end of the day on what he thinks he can pay. So more power to her. The more women realise their worth, the more they will even get what they deserve”.
Hedge made her acting debut in Mysskin’s Tamil superhero film Mugsmoodi (2012). She was then featured in the Telugu films Oka Laila Kosam and Mukunda (2014). In 2016, she made her Hindi film debut alongside Hrithik Roshan in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Mohenjo Daro.
Meanwhile, actress Pooja Hedge has quite a few interesting projects coming up. She has ‘Bhaijaan’ with Salman Khan, ‘Cirkus’ with Ranveer Singh, ‘Radhe Shyam’ with Prabhas and much more.
