Jeff Bezos space trip caught all eyes and all the news, but what next comes up shocks everyone.
A Dutch teen, Oliver Daemen accompanied Jeff on his space flight on a 10 minutes trip beyond the earth’s atmosphere. This teen made a shocking confession saying he had never ordered anything from Amazon.
Amsterdam’s paper said, “Oliver Daemen, 18, of the Netherlands, speaks at a post-launch press conference after he flew with three crewmates on Blue Origin’s inaugural flight to the edge of space, in the nearby town of Van Horn, Texas, US on July 20, 2021.”
This brave star from Dutch is accompanying not just Jeff but also his brother Mark Bezos and 82-year-old female aviator Wally Funk – the oldest person to go to space. And is the youngest person to go to space.
Daemen was not the 1st choice for the flight but the 1st chosen candidate couldn’t attend the trip and the teen was notified about it while vacationing in Italy. When the call took place it was exciting as Oliver stated, “They called and said: Are you still interested?’ and we were like ‘Yes! Yes! Yes!'”
The teen said “I told Jeff, like, I’ve actually never bought something from Amazon,” Daemen told Reuters in an interview on Friday at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. “And he was like, ‘oh, wow, it’s a long time ago I heard someone say that’.”This 18 year old wanted to travel to space as a kid and this was no less than a dream come true.
