One of the most sought after middle of the road cinema actor of the yesteryear Amol Palekar is hospitalised in Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune. Yes, you read that right.
Well, the media reports suggest that the actor is suffering from a prolonged illness. In an interview with a news channel, Amol’s wife Sandhya Gokhale Palekar has said that the actor was admitted into the hospital following his bouts of an old illness. When she was asked about the illness, she stated that because f his excessive smoking the actor contracted a bad disease. Even though she didn’t specially mention the name of the disease she did say that the actor has been suffering with the illness from a very long time. Sandhya further revealed that Amol had to be admitted into the hospital 10 years ago as well for the same reason.
She also mentioned that he is much better now and that he is steadily recovering. Amol Palekar is known for myriad superhit films like Gol Maal, Naram Garam, Choti Si Baat, Baaton Baaton Mein so on and so forth.
