Bappi Lahiri Death: Doctors reveal what TOOK the iconic music director’s life

Bappi lahiri was an icon when it came to the music industry and Bollywood. He has been the winner of many accolades in his life time and it is in the year 2021 that the music director completed 50 golden years in the film industry. The music director was a maverick in his own right. It was his music that got the nation grooming to the “Desi-Disco” beats. He composed many unforgettable melodies and the entire tinsel town is in mourning with is passing away. The legend was unwell for a long time unbeknownst of his fans and well-wishers which is why the news of his death came as a shock to many. The music director was admitted in Mumbai’s Criticare Hospital for the past 29 days. during the course of his treatment he showed tremendous recovery post which he was allowed to go home. On reaching his abode he relapsed and finally succumbed to his illness on the 15th February at 11:45 PM.

The strange part is just a few days after the Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar passed away, did Mr Lahiri too breathe his last.

And now the doctors of the hospital that he was being treated in have released an official statement that focusses on the cause of his sudden demise. The official statement read, “Bappi Lahiri was suffering from OSA- Obstructive Sleep Apnea and recurrent chest infection. He was treated by Dr.Deepak Namjoshi.He was hospitalised in Criticare Hospital, Juhu for 29 days with this. He recovered well and was discharged home on 15 February. However after a day at home his health again deteriorated and he was brought back to Criticare hospital Juhu in a critical state and succumbed to his illness at about 11.45pm. He suffered from Covid infection last year. He had OSA since last 1 year . He was admitted on multiple occasions in Criticare Hospital under treatment of Dr.Deepak Namjoshi and recovered on all occasions.”

Many film industry leaders have taken to their social media to mourn the loss. Akshay Kumar, Madhuri Dixit, Ajay Devgn, Hansal Mehta, PRiyanka Chopra have taken to their respective Twitter accounts to share their grief.

We hope Mr Lahiri’s soul rests in eternal peace.
