One of the most famous music director and singer Bappi Lahiri passed away at the age of 69 on 15th February. The musician was suffering from a sleep related breathing disorder. His mortal remains were preserved and his family released a statement which said that his final rites will not be done until his son Bappa Lahiri came back to India. This morning after Bappa landed in the financial capital his father’s funeral took place at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle ( A Mumbai suburb).





His don Bappa Lahiri and son-in-law Govind Bansal were seen carrying his mortal remains to the crematorium. The Lahiri family is shattered and is inconsolable. A truck decked up with flowers carried the musician’s body to the crematorium at round 10 AM. Many celebrities from the Bollywood industry arrived to pay their last respects to the revered musician. Vidya Balan, Ila Arun, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Alka Yagnik, Kajol and her family were present among others.

Bappi Da as the industry fondly used to call him has aa number of hits in his discography which include Disco Dancer, Armaan, Sharaabi, Qasam PAidakarnewaale Ki, Tohfa, Aaj Ka Arjun, Dirty Picture so on and so forth.
He was last seen on television in the notorious reality show Bigg Boss which is hosted by superstar Salman Khan. He appeared on the show to promote his grandson Swastik’s new song Baccha Party.
