<p>For Poothia, the fascination began in 2017, when he came across an article about the world’s 50 best bars. Over the past seven years, he has already visited 22 of the best bars, each one changing the way he saw not just cocktails, but the art of human connection. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a directive requiring all commercial airlines, charter operators, and private jet operators to ensure that aircraft window shades remain closed during take-off and landing at defence airfields. This measure applies to all passenger windows, except those at emergency exits, and is specifically targeted at operations from defence airports, particularly those near India’s western border.</p>
<p>The DGCA’s order comes in the wake of recent security incidents, including the Pahalgam terror attack and subsequent Operation Sindoor. Following these events, several airports in northern, central, and western India, including sensitive defence airbases with civil enclaves such as Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Gwalior, and Hindon, were temporarily closed. As operations resume, the DGCA has introduced these new protocols to enhance operational safety and prevent the unintentional sharing of sensitive security-related information by passengers or crew.</p>
<p>Under the new guidelines, window shades must remain closed during the take-off and landing phases at defence airfields. Specifically, shades should stay shut until the aircraft is airborne and has crossed an altitude of 10,000 feet during departure, and during arrival, from when the aircraft descends below 10,000 feet until it reaches the parking bay at the civil terminal. The only exception is for emergency exit windows, where shades may remain open.</p>
<p>The DGCA has emphasised strict compliance with this directive, warning that violations will attract legal action. The move is intended to prevent the possibility of sensitive military information being inadvertently photographed or observed during critical flight phases.</p>
<p>This directive aligns with similar security measures implemented in other countries where dual-use military and civil airports are present. The focus remains on safeguarding national security interests while maintaining the safety and efficiency of civil aviation operations at defence airfields.</p>

The event saw Maithili representing Canada and competing against talented women from numerous countries.</p>
<p>Maithili, who is a General Dentist based in Toronto, Canada, wowed the judges and audience with her confidence and passion on stage. Earlier, she has walked many fashion shows for various designers in Canada, and has also filmed for a music video and a restaurant commercial.</p>
<p>She has also done multiple photoshoots, and has been featured in Stylecruze magazine and various other bridal magazines.  In 2018, Maithili was crowned Miss Talent at the Miss South Asia Canada pageant for her dancing skills.</p>
<p>Born in Mumbai, Maithili grew up in India, Nigeria and Canada. She has faced many difficult situations in life, but has always remained positive and determined. This determination and hard work paid off when she was crowned Ms International World Petite 2022.</p>

Starting this month, Starbucks is adding three food products: Vegan Sausage Croissant Roll, Vegan Hummus Kebab Wrap and Vegan Croissant Bun. This lineup is developed in partnership with Imagine Meats, a local plant-based food venture by Celebrity Couple &amp; Entrepreneurs Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh.</p>
<p>The newly-launched vegan food menu provides more vegan options for customers, in addition to Starbucks’ existing beverage customization options with plant-based dairy alternatives such as almond, oat and soy.</p>
<p>As customer interest in vegan choices increase, Starbucks remains committed to introducing newer offerings in locally relevant ways. For Starbucks, expanding vegan menus globally is one of the ways the company is pursuing its goal to reduce its carbon footprint by 50%.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Sportswear brand PUMA has launched its official mobile shopping app in India in order to further enhance its digital offerings for consumers and to provide them with quicker access to its latest products and exclusive services. India is the first country to go live with the PUMA app developed by the German sportswear giant.</p>
<p>Having emerged as the No. 1 sports brand in the country, PUMA has renewed its investment in India as a high priority market with this move. PUMA earned a record revenue of Rs 2,044 crore in India during the financial year ending December 2021 at a 68.2% jump over the previous fiscal. The brand also added 51 stores last year and has a total of 450 stores in the country so far.</p>
<p>“I am very proud to launch our PUMA app in India first,” said PUMA CEO Bjørn Gulden. “India is a very important market for us and our local team has done an outstanding job in establishing PUMA as the Number 1 sports brand in the country. Given that India is a very digital-savvy market where eCommerce has high penetration, we felt it natural to launch the app here first. It will then be rolled out globally during the year,” added Bjørn.</p>
<p>Abhishek Ganguly, Managing Director, PUMA India and Southeast Asia, said, “With the launch of the PUMA app, we will offer our consumers a faster, seamless and convenient digital shopping experience. The app is powered with multiple technology-led features and that will enhance user experience.”</p>
<p>“We, at PUMA, believe in consistently connecting our consumers with our products in an experiential manner. PUMA was the first brand in India to realise the potential of e-commerce and had launched its online shopping platform in 2016. Now with this app, we are ready to take the shopping experience to the next level and engage with consumers more closely with the help of interactive features,” added Abhishek.</p>
<p>Ace cricketer and PUMA brand ambassador Virat Kohli took part in launching the app in India by making an official announcement across his social media handles.</p>
<p>Commenting on the occasion, Virat Kohli said, “PUMA and I share an incredible relationship. Having built a brand with them, I truly appreciate the effort PUMA takes to serve its customers better. With the launch of this app, I am kicked about the easy access the consumers will have to PUMA and its offerings. Now, one will never be left behind. All access at a click only on the PUMA app.”</p>
<p>The PUMA shopping app will not only allow users to purchase their favourite sneakers, athleisure and accessories but is also equipped with features such as virtual try-on and sophisticated 3D animations.</p>
<p>App users will also get to enjoy exclusive content by PUMA’s brand ambassadors through videos and Q&amp;A sessions on a regular basis. Keeping up with the future of smart retail, the app will soon come with the ability to connect shoppers with PUMA designers to get customised products. For many of the interactive elements of the PUMA App, the company uses augmented reality technology from Snap Inc. PUMA worked with Formidable Labs, LLC and Salesforce for the app.</p>

<p>Saurabh Saith, CEO, Orion India said, “Launch of the Mango Choco-Pie is in line with our commitment to bring quality products and a unique taste to Indian consumers. We have combined India’s favorite fruit mango and chocolate to make a perfect snack for the summers in our first ‘conceptualized and made in India’ offering and hoping that consumers love it as much as we do.”</p>
<p>He added, “In just two years of our entry to India, we’ve managed to grow substantially. In the year 2021 itself, we grew by 700% and expanded to new geographies and new product segments with our products like the Custas Cupcakes, O’ Rice Crackers and Choco Chip Cookies to meet the growing demand of variety &amp; range-seeking Indian consumers.”</p>
<p>Orion Mango Choco-Pie is 100% vegetarian with 40% of its centre is filled with jam made with real Alphonso mango. The new fruity variant is now available across online and offline channels retailing at ₹90 and ₹180 for cases containing 6 pieces and 12 pieces, respectively. Each piece weighs 28g. In addition to this, the Mango Choco-Pies have also been launched at a magical price of ₹10, with one Choco-Pie weighing 25g.</p>
<p>The company is also running a digital campaign inviting consumers and influencers to share their special recipes made with the Orion Mango Choco-Pie.</p>
<p>India is Orion’s 10th overseas production base with other manufacturing facilities spread across countries like Korea, Vietnam and Russia. The company’s India plant is focused on catering to local taste preferences and is producing a 100% vegetarian range of Choco-Pies. Since its entry to India, the company has onboarded 300 employees to drive the brand’s growth and is currently aiming at adding 700 more to its India team in the next two years.</p>
