Speaking at a joint press conference with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Trump stated that he “settled” the situation between the two nuclear-armed neighbours through trade deals. He emphasised his close relationships with the leaders of both India and Pakistan, describing Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “a great guy” and Pakistan’s leader as “a great leader”.

Despite Trump’s repeated assertions, Indian officials have consistently denied any US role in brokering the ceasefire or linking trade negotiations to the de-escalation. India maintains that such matters are to be resolved bilaterally, without third-party involvement. The Indian government swiftly refuted Trump’s latest statement, reiterating its long-standing position on the issue.

The recent ceasefire followed a period of heightened hostilities after the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians. India responded with Operation Sindoor, targeting terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, which led to an escalation in cross-border violence, including drone incursions and artillery exchanges along the Line of Control.

This has once again added a new twist to the sensational case. According to an NDTV report, citing the letter she sent to CBI, sources said, Indrani claims that she met a woman prisoner who informed her that Sheena is very much alive and thriving in Kashmir.

The report further quotes her lawyer Sana Khan as saying, “She wrote to the CBI, we have no details of what she wrote,” and she also mentioned that she will be moving a formal application for bail.

49 years old Indrani Mukerjea has been imprisoned since 2015. She was arrested for the murder of her daughter from her first marriage.

And just after three months her husband Peter Mukerjea was also arrested on charges of helping her.

According to investigators, Indrani murdered Sheena with the help of her driver Shyamvar Rai and her second husband Sanjeev Khanna. She killed her daughter because she was appalled with Sheena’s intimate relationship with Rahul Mukerjea who is Rahul Mukerjea’s son from an earlier marriage. It was this incestuous nature of the relationship that angered Indrani. It was also being said that Sheena had threatened her mother to expose her after a financial dispute between the two.

After the murder indrani told her friends that Sheena was actually her sister who had moved to the U.S.

The murder came to light when Indrani’s driver was arrested in a separate case. Based ont eh statement of the driver the half-burnt body of Sheena was dug up from a forest near Mumbai. There were 60 witnesses who had recorded their statement in the case which began in 2017.

Indrani and Peter Mukerjea ended their 19-year-old relationship and the court granted them divorce in 2019.

While Peter Mukerjea was released on bail in 2020, Indrani Mukerjea continues to be in jail.

According the reports, the actress assaulted her for not doing the house chore properly. She also took off her clothes and beat her up with a sandal. The reports also state that the accused stayed in a rented apartment in the Versova suburb of Mumbai alone in an apartment.

An ETimes report stated that complainant revealed to the police that she was assaulted by the lady who claims to be a struggling actress by profession a lot of times when she didn’t do her work properly. However, she had not reported these incidents earlier until now when she made her take off her clothes and then filmed her and took photos of her.

The report further stated that the victim was assaulted by a sandal and sustained marks of injury on her head and has also been taken to the hospital.

The cops had registered an FIR after the minor’s sister saw the injuries and inquired about them. The First Information Report has been filed under section 26 (assault), 354 (B) ((Assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe)) and 504 (intentional insult) of the Indian Penal Code and under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).

The police have now stated that after the minor victim and her sister approached the police, they lodged the complained and have arrested the actress who will remain in custody till Monday. It has also been reported that the lady was well aware of the fact that the girl was a minor and yet she appointed her as the house help and made her do the house chores

Responding to someone’s tweet regarding this, Kangana quoted, “Sad, shameful, absolutely unfair. If people on the streets have started to make laws and not the chosen government in the Parliament, then even this is a jihadi nation. Congratulations to all who wanted it like this.” She further added an image of late former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her second post. It read, “When the conscience of the nation is in deep sleep, lath (the cane) is the only solution and dictatorship is the only resolution… Happy birthday Madam Prime Minister,” however, Friday (19th November) marks the 104th birth anniversary of the former PM.

Meanwhile, on Friday morning, PM Narendra Modi announced in a televised speech, “Today, I have come to tell you, the whole country, that we have decided to withdraw all three agricultural laws. In the Parliament session starting later this month, we will complete the constitutional process to repeal these three agricultural laws.”

However, farmers from Punjab to Haryana and some parts of Uttar Pradesh were protesting for about a year, demanding the repeal of the farm laws despite the Centre’s continued efforts to break the logjam.

Moreover, Kangana had aided the government’s decision to bring in the laws, “Rihanna, a porn singer, she is no Mozart and has no classical knowledge. She doesn’t have any special voice. If 10 reputed classical singers will sit together, they will say that she doesn’t even know how to sing. In American culture, people like Kim Kardashian, who have unidentified careers, are their icons. No one knows what they do. This is a racket of capitalism which is confusing the youth. It would not be an exaggeration to state that they have suddenly woken up from a daze, a daze that had almost machined them to work, behave and react in a certain manner. Matters have become volatile than ever before and I hope, it continues to remain this way.

In a much lesser known albeit enormous feat concluded recently, a Mumbai based 26-year-old Mitesh Dubey completed a record-breaking endurance-run from Mumbai to Delhi.

Yes, you read that right!

In this scorching heat, Mitesh made it a point to run across the states to reaffirm the country’s belief in fitness!

Unfortunately, his endeavors went completely unnoticed; as even when he began, his quest for bringing sponsors on-board for the marathon (that was then on cards) was crushed as brands just minced words of assurance without shelling out anything concrete! Some of these are, “Red Bull, Bisleri, Amazon, Fast and up, Muscle blaze, Step Set Go, Paytm, Himalaya personal care, Colgate, One8 select so on and so forth. All of the brands look for a familiar face, a known face and that is the predicament! I ask, why can’t it be a normal citizen? Someone who is trying to make a difference? Why wouldn’t they come forward to help in order to augment something good and progressive as a mark of encouragement to the maverick?

At a time when a section of today’s youth is meandering towards drugs, debauchery and an unhealthy lifestyle, don’t these brands have a social responsibility to take a stand for a change that they aggressively represent in the popular media?

Mitesh started his run on the 20^th October, 2021, from Powai (a Mumbai suburb) at 5:30 AM, a run that would test his grit and determination to the hilt. A run that was about to make him perplexed, confused and wavering throughout. The apprehension of completing the enormous test of endurance was much bigger than we can even begin to imagine (sitting in the comfort of our AC cabins) but notwithstanding the self-doubt and hitches strewn in his path, Mitesh finished the 1318 Km sprint all by himself on 12^th November 2021, and he deserves applauses for it.

It was during an interaction with Mitesh post his arrival in the capital city of India that he revealed that he wishes to inculcate the idea of fitness in the citizens of the country, “If I could convey 10 people the message of being fit and see them moving towards their fitness journey, through my run, I would be the happiest and feel successful in the real sense of the word.”

The GSAT-24, a 4,000 kg class Ku-band satellite with all transponders dedicated for DTH services, will be launched by the Ariane-5 from Europe’s Arianespace early next year. “The entire satellite capacity on-board GSAT-24 will be leased to its committed customer  M/s Tat Sky for meeting their DTH application needs,” an NSIL statement said Friday.

The satellite will be owned and operated by NSIL, which will also be the intermediary agency between ISRO, Arianespace and Tata Sky.

NSIL, which has been created to commercialize research work and capabilities of the ISRO, is looking to merge as an Indian communications satellite operator by taking over ISRO satellite to provide DTH and broadband services to customers on demand.

In March this year, the official of NSIL – incorporated in 2019 – had stated that two deals were in the pipeline with a DTH operator and a broadband provider in India.

NSIL official had said on March 12 that it will take over two communication satellite to be launched by ISRO and is in talks with the space department to take over ISRO’s fleet of communication satellites. “Shortly, NSIL will finalise requirements for new satellites in consultation with various users and start procuring, owning, launching and providing services, primarily in the communication sector. We are also in an advanced stage of discussion with DoS to take ownership of two new communication satellites,” NSIL Chairman and MD G Narayanan had stated.

“Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission will now help connect digital health solutions across the country. All Indians will now get a digital health ID under this scheme. Every citizens’ health record will now be digitally secure,” the Prime Minister said, underlining that “digitization will make healthcare easier.”

The Health ID of every citizen will also “work as their health account, to which personal health records can be linked and viewed with the help of a mobile application,” says the government. The access and exchange of “longitudinal health records of citizens will be enabled with their consent,” an official statement says.

The newly launched mission “will play a big in eliminating problems in medical treatment of poor and middle class,” PM Modi said this morning in a televised address. “Today begins a Mission that has the power to bring a revolutionary change in India’s health facilities. Three years ago, on Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s birth anniversary, Ayushman Bharat Yojana was implemented. I am happy that Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission is being started nationwide from today on its third anniversary,” the Prime Minister said.

“It is about connecting with the traditions with which we have been associated for centuries. This is World Rivers Day,” he added, World Rivers Day is observed on the fourth Sunday of every September and celebrates the world’s waterways. According to the site dedicated to the day, it highlights the many values of rivers and strives to increase public awareness and encourages the improved stewardship of rivers around the world.

PM Modi also said that proceeds from the ongoing special e-auction of the gifts he receives will be dedicated to the government’s flagship project ‘Namami Ganga’. The government has set up a dedicated site – pmmementos.gov.in – to display and e–auction the mementos that are priced between Rs 100 and Rs 30,000. Visitors to the site can filter through the mementos on the basis of the price range.

Director General of India Meteorological Department (IMD) Mrutyunjay Mohapatra informed the National Crisis Management Department (NCMC) meeting chaired by Vizianagaram and Vishakhapatnam districts in Andhra Pradesh, and Ganjam and Gajapati districts in Odisha.

An NDRF team with 22 members was ready with the required equipment at Gajuwaka and one SDRF team with 25 members and necessary equipment is ready at the RDOs Office in Visakhapatnam.

The Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE) will likely meet at the WHO on 5 October to discuss granting the EUA to Covaxin.

The SAGE is charged with advising WHO on overall global policies and strategies, ranging from vaccines and technology, research and development, to delivery of immunization and its linkages with other health interventions.

Earlier, the WHO had sought clarification on the data submitted by the Hyderabad – based vaccine manufacturer. The 5 October meeting has been called after Bharat Biotech provided all the details.

Meanwhile, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Biotech International Ltd, Krishna Ella, said Covaxin production would touch 55 million doses in October as against 35 million in September.
