The Hindi entertainment industry was gradually inching back to its original self as the COVID-19 cases were on the decline. The parties had begun and the gatherings were happening. Filsm were releasing, while Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer ’83 bombed at the box office, Sooryavanshi did a good job at raking in the moolah.
But once again with the sudden surge in the Omicron cases throughout the country, Bollywood once again back at square one! Many films that were set to release in the beginning of 2022 have been postponed. With the government making a U-turn towards re-imposing curbs and restrictions on cinema halls, the likelihood of any new films releasing anytime soon is scarce big time!
The latest is Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday starrer Gehrayiaan was supposed to launch its trailer amid a gala event in Alibaug, Maharashtra. But now that has been cancelled due to the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases. The film is set for an OTT release and now that the trailer launch in Alibaug has been cancelled, it will be interesting to see when and how are they planning to launch the trailer of the film and how will the makers promote it.
