Actor Rajat Bedi on Monday (September 6) evening allegedly hit a man with his car in the Andheri area, Mumbai. As per ANI, the case is registered at the DN Nagar police station. The Bollywood actor brought the injured man to Cooper hospital where he is currently admitted.
The victim was 39years old, ‘Rajesh Dhoot’, a resident of DN nagar Mumbai. Reportedly, Rajesh was drunk at the time he got hit by Rajat’s car and was in an inebriated state while crossing the road. Rajat’s car hit him, resulting in injuries to the back of his head. As per reports, Rajesh is in critical condition, and a case has also been registered against the actor.
According to reports, “The actor has assured the man’s family that he will get him complete treatment, however, he later left.”
The victim’s wife said, “The incident occurred at 6.30 pm when my husband was returning from work and he was drunk. Actor Rajat Bedi, who was driving his car with license number MH 02 CD 4809, hit my husband when he was crossing the road. He fell down, sustaining injuries to the back of his head.”
Rajat’s wife further added, “The DN Nagar police also visited the hospital, but they didn’t catch Bedi. If anything happens to my husband, Bedi will be responsible. He should be arrested,”
Milind Kurde, a Senior Inspector at DN Nagar police station, said that an FIR has been registered against the actor under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicles Act. However, no arrest has been made yet.
A doctor, who is treating Rajesh, said, “His condition is too critical, as he sustained head injuries. He is in the ICU and on oxygen support. He urgently needs blood.”
