The 37 years old dazzling Daisy Shah, is popularly known for her film ‘Jai Ho’ opposite Salman Khan. Her most popular dialogue, “My Business Is My Business, None Of Your Business” in the flick Race 3 gained Shah supreme attention all over the web. Shah was born on 25th August 1984 and holds a Bachelor Of Arts degree from Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Mumbai.
Here’s some sneak into her life facts, you may have not known before:-
- Daisy hails from a middle-class Gujarati family living in Dombivli, Mumbai. Her mom is a housewife and she has a sister named Deepali. She lost her dad due to heart failure.
- In her 10th grade, Shah was named Miss Photogenic in the Miss Dombivli contest. She has also done a lot of advertisements and photoshoots before entering Bollywood!
- Shah spent ten years working as an assistant to famed choreographer Ganesh Acharya. Alongside, Daisy assisted him in films like Zameen and Khakee.
- She got her first break as an item girl in Bollywood from the film Bloody Isshq.
- Daisy Shah then worked with Salman Khan as a background dancer in the Lagan Lagi song from ‘Tere Naam’. In an interview, Daisy Shah has also admitted that as a child she had a crush on Salman Khan.
- She made her acting debut in the 2010 action film Vandae Maatharam. Daisy rose to fame by making her appearance in the Kannada film Bodyguard.
- The actress’s big break in Bollywood was Jai Ho alongside Salman Khan. It is said that Salman then, also gifted her a stylish car as a token of friendship!
- It is said that the makers of Jai Ho postponed the shoot of the flick as she gained weight. In 2014, she was nominated for a Big Star Entertainment Award for her role in the same film.
- Daisy worked in Hate Story 3 only on Sallu’s insistence.
- Daisy was offered the role of Kareena’s friend in Bodyguard. She refused the role and went on doing South Indian films.
- She once fell into controversy when Bhojpuri actor Satyendra Singh filed an FIR against her, Ganesh Acharya, and Rajniesh Duggal for trying to murder him during the filming of the film, ‘Soda’.
- Other than the ones mentioned, Shah has also appeared in films like Pori, Khuda Kasam, Bhadra, Gajendra, Bachchan, Spark, Aakramana, and Ram Ratan.
Daisy, who was last seen in her debut Gujarati film, ‘Gujarat 11’, has once said, “I never thought about acting, I wanted to be an air hostess. You will never get anything in your life which is not written in your destiny. There are ways to portray your talent. I am glad I found Salman Khan when it comes to working in this industry. I hope that people who really want to make it, find their Salman Khan someday.”
Talking ahead about Salman she later expressed, “I am blessed to have Salman Khan as a friend, mentor, and guardian. I thank him for always being there for me. Also, I never told Salman I want work. When the right project comes along he will be the first person to come and tell you. He is not somebody who will step on your shoulder and move ahead, he will make sure that whoever is with him, he/she should grow with him and that is the best thing about him.”
