Mahesh Babu’s brother Ramesh Babu dies at 56, Telugu film industry expresses shock and disbelief

Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu’s elder brother Ghattamaneni Ramesh Babu breathed his last on Saturday, 8th January 2022. He was afflicted with a severe liver ailment and was suffering badly.

Producer BA Raju confirmed his death and tweeted, “It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Ramesh Babu garu. He will continue to live on in our hearts forever. We request all our well-wishers to adhere to the COVID norms and avoid gathering at the cremation venue. – Ghattamaneni Family”.

Megastar Chiranjeevi expressed shock and grief at the news and taking to his social media handle wrote, “Shocked and deeply saddened by the demise of Shri.G.Ramesh babu. My heartfelt condolences to Shri.Krishna garu , @urstrulyMahesh and all the family members. May the Almighty give strength to the family to cope with the tragic loss.”

Many others from the south film industry expressed remorse, director Ramesh Verma shared condolences with the family of the bereaved, he tweeted, “Shocked to here this, Ramesh Babu Garu was no more Broken heart. Condolences to Krishna garu, mahesh babu garu & entire family. Om Shanti,” he wrote.

Earlier this week, Mahesh Babu tested positive for COVID-19 and he took to his social media to reveal that he has isolated himself and is under home quarantine.

Now it will be left to see whether Mahesh will be allowed to attend the last rites of his own brother or not.
