Omicron Scare Causes Kala Ghoda Art Festival To Delay, Artists Showcase Their Work Online

The streets of Kala Ghoda will take a little longer to light up this year. With the threat of Omicron looming, the Kala Ghoda Association has thoughtfully decided to postpone Kala Ghoda Arts Festival (KGAF) till the streets are safe again to be crowded with excited art aficionados.

Nevertheless, while we will have to wait, your tryst with Kala Ghoda continues through kalaghodartkart.com , where artisans with amazing offerings are chosen to display their art .

Says Brinda Miller, “the reason to go virtual with the e- stalls is more important to encourage the artisans. Staying safe and following government norms is important for us, though it is an exhilarating feeling to see the streets of Kala Ghoda light up during the festival. It is a truly amazing experience and the excitement of people who throng to be part of the fest only encourages us more.

Kala Ghoda Arts Festival believes in giving opportunity to new and experienced artisans who will be showcased by us.

Proceeds from our sponsor patrons go towards Heritage Conservation of this iconic art precinct.

In the meantime, we would love for each of you to go online and support the artisans and our heritage through KGAK. And of course, take home works of art and craft that are a cut above the best.”

So do wait for KGAF and in the meantime, keep your date with Kala Ghoda by supporting artisans online with KGAK.

And of course, wait for the majestic black horse to trot the streets of Kala Ghoda again in the coming months!
