Randhir Kapoor talks about losing both brothers Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor

The last two years have been very difficult for the Kapoor clan. In a recent interview, Randhir Kapoor expressed the pain and trauma he and his family had to go through after losing his brother Rishi Kapoor last year to cancer and his younger brother Rajiv Kapoor to cardiac arrest in February 2021. Randhir expressed that he feels that his two hands are now gone. He said that the bonding between the three was profound and he is finding it hard to come to terms with reality.

According to an interview with a tabloid, Randhir disclosed a few things about his relationship with his brothers. He said that the last two years have been very hard and tragic for him. Losing two brothers in the span of nine months has created a void.

After Rishi Kapoor’s cancer, Randhir lived in constant fear and constantly visited him in America during his treatment. But he never imagined that Rajiv would pass away so soon as well.

Talking about Rajiv, he expressed that he feels sad that Rajiv didn’t get enough fame even though his movie Ram Teri Ganga Maili was a blockbuster. Randhir also revealed that Rajiv was super excited for his Toolsidas Junior and that he would be getting good character roles. But who knew that he won’t be able to see the release. Randhir called Rajiv the son that he never had and it’s genuinely a huge loss for him. He also said that Rajiv was extremely talented and he will miss him forever.

Speaking about RK Studios, Randhir disclosed that he was in deep pain when the RK studios burned down. He was heartbroken by the fact that all of Raj Kapoor’s memorabilia was destroyed. Thousands of things including photographs, posters and awards that were kept in the publicity department were all destroyed in the fire

Randhir is planning to sell his Chembur house and is moving to Bandra where his daughters Karishma and Kareena live. Now, he is determined to stay positive and believes God will look after them.
