Television actress Shagufta Ali who was seen in popular Tv Shows, ‘Veer ki Ardas Veera’, ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ and ‘Saath Nibhana Sathiya’ recently revealed that she is going through a financial crunch. She has revealed that due to the pandemic, she didn’t get work and her medical condition demanded a lot of money. Initially, she managed by selling off her jewelry and car, but since the pandemic has been going on for almost 2 years, now it became very difficult for her to manage on her own. That’s when she thought of opening up about it to her friends and colleagues. She also talked about her medical condition and said that she has been suffering from Diabetes since 2015. But when her work stopped, due to stress her diabetes began to shoot up making her condition worse.
Ashoke Pandit, the President of Indian Film Television and Director’s Association reached out to her when he came to know about her plight. He informed Rohit Shetty about the same and he willingly came forward with a ‘generous amount’ to help the actress. Mr. Pandit said that he would be reaching out to more industry people for help.
Shagufta Ali has been in the industry for 30 years, in the past she has fought with cancer and came back. She was extremely grateful to Rohit Shetty and said that he’s never seen her or talked to her yet helped her. She would be making an appointment to the Doctor next week and resume her treatment. We wish her a speedy recovery.
