Shilpa Shetty expected to make her first public appearance post husband Raj Kundra’s arrest

Shilpa Shetty has been in the headlines ever since her husband Raj Kundra was arrested for the creation and distribution of photographic content on July, 19. Since then, Shilpa has not made a public appearance.

Following the latest updates, the actress is expected to make her first public appearance very soon. It is anticipated that Shilpa will also join Bollywood as well as international stars like Arjun Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ed Sheeran, Sara Ali Khan, Steven Speilberg and Saif Ali Khan for a COVID-19 relief fundraiser.

A virtual event called: We For India: Saving Lives and Protecting Livelihoods is set for Sunday, August 15. The funds from this event will be used to supply facilities like oxygen concentrators, cylinders, ventilators, essential medicines, and ICU units. Funds will also go towards supporting the staffing of vaccination centres. Donations are also expected to support long-term public recovery and rebuild livelihoods.

The three-hour-long videothon is set to stream on Sunday and will be hosted by Rajkumar Rao.

A few days ago, Shilpa stated on Instagram, urging everyone to respect her family’s privacy for the sake of her children–Viaan and Samisha. “MY STAND… I HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET and will continue to refrain from doing so in this case as it is sub-judice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf. Reiterating my philosophy of, as a celebrity, “Never complain, never explain’. All I will say is, as it’s an ongoing investigation, I have full faith in the Mumbai Police & the Indian judiciary,” said Shilpa.

“As a family, we are taking recourse to all our available legal remedies. But, till then I humbly request you – especially as a MOTHER – to respect our privacy for my children’s sake and request you to refrain from commenting on half-baked information without verifying the veracity of the same,” she further added.
