Raqesh is currently locked up inside the Bigg Boss OTT and is paired with Shamita Shetty as a connection. Their budding love has been catching eyeballs and now and then they make headlines. Raqesh, who’s also an artist and a sculptor, has opened up about his Tum Bin days before entering Bigg Boss.

The actor said it was the day when he had called his entire family and parents from Pune for the screening of Tum Bin at Adlabs in Filmcity. “On the same day – July 13, 2001, Aks had released and that screening was happening before us. So we were waiting in the parking lot. Suddenly I see Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, everyone stepping out. Jaya Ji saw me from far away and came to me and said, “You’re that Bapat boy right? I’m so proud to meet you, you’re so promising. I keep telling Abhishek to look out for you.” Refugee had been released a while back. She called Abhishek and he hugged me and said “Dude, every time your promo comes, my mom calls me and says lookout for this guy, he’s your competition,” Raqesh said.

He further added that Jaya Bachchan also introduced Amitabh Bachchan to him, who met him warmly, which gave validation to his parents that Raqesh had made a name for himself in the film industry. “Suddenly I was in front of such legends and I didn’t know what to say. Mr Bachchan said Tum Bin looks like a good film. My entire family was in awe seeing the Bachchans in person. My parents almost fainted I think (laughs). Now, the news is out that the Ayyappanum Koshiyum Hindi remake is definitely happening, and the replacement has been finalized against John Abraham. If reports are to be believed, Arjun Kapoor has stepped in to play the second lead. This would mark Arjun’s second collaboration with John after their upcoming Mohit Suri thriller Ek Villain Returns. This yet-untitled Hindi remake will again see the two clashing with each other, however, this time it’ll not be the action-oriented fight but rather the battle of egos between a well-connected, wealthy and influential ex-Havildar and an upright police officer. 

It was also revealed that Abhishek’s dates were apparently clashing with the shooting timelines of Amazon Prime’s Breathe Season 3 that he had committed to way before this film. John then offered the film to Arjun who immediately agreed to come on board. This casting change, however, has delayed the film further and it’ll now go on floors in January 2022. 

John Abraham is currently shooting for Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan and will soon head to Spain for its final international stint. He will next be seen in Milap Zaveri’s masala entertainer Satyameva Jayate 2 which is expected to release in theatres later this year. Arjun Kapoor, meanwhile, is currently gearing up for the Disney+Hotstar premiere of his horror-comedy Bhoot Police that also stars Saif Ali Khan, Yami Gautam, and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles. He will shoot for the recently announced Aasmaan Bharadwaj debut directorial Kuttey sometime in November!

Amitabh Bachchan shared a post that caught everyone’s attention. His son Abhishek Bachchan and granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda showed him some love in the post. Amitabh was seen in a black suit as he sat in his seat on the set of Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Bachchan has been giving fans updates on his show through his blog. Last week he wrote, “The rehearse for the season of KBC began and the tech is now being put in place, which shall begin its recordings in a few, for the broadcast in fewer.. restrictions on the virus will be in place with some laxity I believe.. which I gather may be somewhat, to somewhat .. whatever that means …” He also said, “so .. the grind of KBC begins.. on to set for mocks and rehearses …”

The actor then informed fans about the new season, saying: ‘Running late for the first day of recording for KBC 13.. and so regretful. But it’s simply unavoidable.. so many chores to oversee.. and the body can take this much and no more.. but pushing it, to its extreme, to comply and adjust and deliver”.The actor has been hosting the show since 2000 and has since been an integral part of the show.

Season 13 of the show will premiere on August 23. It will air on weekdays at 9 on Sony Television. On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan has several projects lined up like Chehre, Jhund, Brahmastra and Mayday. He will also collaborate with Deepika Padukone for the Hindi adaptation of the 2015 Hollywood film ‘The Intern’. Last month, he also started filming for a multilingual sci-fi movie called Project K, with actors Prabhas and Deepika in Hyderabad.
