Sharing a clip of Aish at the Mumbai airport on Monday night, a paparazzo quoted, “Aishwarya Rai Bachchan back home after her visit in Delhi to the ED office.”

However, the ED had issued notices to the Bachchan family asking them about their foreign remittances since 2004 under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS) of the Reserve Bank of India.

The Panama Papers are the leaked files from the Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca. The documents were disclosed to the media in 2016 and several celebs including Aishwarya, her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn were named in these records.

Meanwhile, post the documents got leaked in 2016, Big B cleared that the money that he has sent abroad was under Indian rules and he has followed all the legal steps to send it. Moreover, he completely denied having any links to the companies that displayed in the Panama Papers as he said, ‘it is possible that (his) name has been misused’.

Another side, Abhishek Bachchan was also questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in another case emerging from the same set of papers linked to the offshore financial leaks case.

As per reports, B-Town diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Panama papers. The probe agency called her for interrogating over allegations of stashing wealth abroad.

However, Ash had also been summoned earlier for questioning, but she had twice sought more time.

As per the investigation conducted by various media outlets including Indian publication The Indian Express, over 500 Indians figure on the Panama Papers’s list of offshore companies. The leaked documents also disclosed that Aishwarya and her family members were part of a company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands, a tax haven, for almost three years. Moreover, the company shortened Aishwarya Rai’s name to A Rai for reasons of confidentiality. The company also changed Aishwarya’s status in the firm; from director to the shareholder.

Meanwhile, news agency PTI informed that the Enforcement Directorate issued notices to the Bachchan family asking them to explain their foreign remittances since 2004 under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS) of the Reserve Bank of India.
