Thalaivii chronicles the life and times of the legend – Jayalalithaa! For the first time, the untold story of Amma- the nation’s revolutionary hero is being portrayed on the big screen. This film will showcase Jayalalithaa’s inspirational journey from a 16-year old debutant in the world of Tamil cinema who goes on to become a superstar and eventually becomes a revolutionary leader.

The buzz says that now the makers have decided to organize an event on 4th September in Chennai to launch the third and next Bharatanatyam song from the film. The film also features Arvind Swami as MGR who was Jaya’s inspiration, love interest, and mentor.

Today, the official video of the film’s second song ” Teri Aankhon Mein ” was released. The song is sung by Armaan Malik & Prajakta Shukre, Music by G.V Prakash Kumar, and the lyrics are penned by Irshad Kamil. This song will take you on a retro ride of the love and compassion of Amma’s acting days. Have a look :

The mother of music composers Anu Malik, Abu Malik and Daboo Malik passed away on Sunday (July 25) at 3:30 pm.

According to reports, she suffered a stroke on Thursday after which she was admitted to Mumbai’s Arogya Nidhi Hospital. She was buried in Santa Cruz, Kabrastan.

Both Amaal and Armaan Malik shared emotional posts about her. Amaal wrote, “It was the most difficult task of my life to bury you with my own hands today. I cried hopelessly for a last hug, but you had already gone. You wanted to be buried right next to your husband and I’m glad we could make that happen. As I left, it began to rain and I looked up to the skies & smiled knowing that you are right where you wanted to be, united with Dada in another dimension, just like this picture.”

He added, “There was never anyone before, nor will there be anyone after. Sunday’s with Dadi was the real deal with Aloo Parathas for breakfast and Pizza Parties for dinner. You lived to love your children & grandchildren, you fought long and hard. Respect & Love. You will live within us till the end. The OG Malik has left us #RIP.”

His brother Armaan Malik also penned a post: “Lost my best friend today my dadijaan. The light of my life. I still cannot process this loss. A void I know nobody can fill. You were the cutest, the most precious human being ever. I am so grateful that I got so much time with you and got all your love, hugs and kisses. Allah my angel is now with you,” he wrote.
