The actor was recently on top of the world after watching her latest film Thalaivii recently. She made a statement calling it the ‘best film’ of her career, which has been decorated with multiple National Awards. She even penned her hopes of bringing back the audience to the theatres and giving them a visual treat in the form of her forthcoming release. “Thalaivi is a theatrical experience and hopefully Hindi multiplexes will also play it. I am confident it will bring audiences back to theatres,” she wrote on her Instagram stories. Other than her, Akshay Kumar has earlier too requested the reopening of cinemas for his film, ‘Bell Bottom’.

Last month, the Multiplex Association of India had appealed to the Maharashtra government to allow them to open cinemas, “Government of Maharashtra’s decision to keep cinemas closed is hugely disappointing news for the entire film industry. This comes at a crucial time when the industry has received permission to reopen from all major States and is trying to recover from the devastating pandemic. Urging @OfficeofUT to reconsider and allow Cinemas to reopen @AUThackeray,” they posted on social media. And now, they have again released an appealing request. See here :

In a news tweeted by Pooja Entertainment was quoted, “With your blessings and good wishes we start our new project #ProductionNo41 #PoojaEntertainment”. The tweet had a photo featuring Akshay Kumar along with Jackky Bhagnani, Chandrachur Singh, Sargun Mehta, Vanshu Bhagnani, Ranjit M Tewari, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Honey Bhagnani.

The film supposedly also stars Rakul Preet Singh who will start shooting her portion in London next month. According to Spotboye, “Rakul will come to London on September 14 or 15, the entire schedule is for two months. They will wrap the first schedule in London.” 

This will be for the first time that actor Rakul Preet Singh is paired opposite the senior actor. This film will mark Akshay’s second collaboration with Pooja Films after BellBottom which also starred Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi, Vaani Kapoor, and Adil Hussain.

It was charismatic duo Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar’s comeback film that fans couldn’t wait to watch. The trailer of the movie was also well appreciated by the fans. On Monday afternoon, Akshay Kumar, who is currently promoting his upcoming film “Bell Bottom,” was seen talking about his unreleased film.

In an interview, Akshay was asked about the release of his much-awaited film, to which he jokingly replied:‘Sooryavanshi’ ke baare me sirf do hi insaan jaante hai – ek Bhagwan aur dusra Rohit Shetty ”. Further, on being asked if they were planning to release the film on Diwali 2021, Akshay replied, “I have no idea about it. But I hope so; I am also keeping my fingers crossed that it releases as soon as possible. I am very excited and I want to watch the film on the big screen”.

Rohit Shetty was also asked about the film. And if there was a concern about the content of the film getting old or stale as they have waited for so long for the situation to return to normal, to which he had said, “I never believe content will become old or something like that where my film is concerned. We have a promo out. There have been films that were shot and ready for three years and are all waiting”.

Meanwhile, the Akshay Kumar-starrer “Bell Bottom” will be the first film to be released in theatres on August 19 post the second wave of COVID. This film also features Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta, and Huma Qureshi.
