Hum Do Hamare Do Teaser Out: Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao promises to make this Diwali ‘familywaali’

Earlier this week, Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao shared a poster on their social media handles which stated, ‘Ab hamara hero kya karega?’. Now we know that ‘wo kya karega’. That poster was a buzz creator for the duo’s upcoming venture, ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’. The teaser of this movie is out and it looks quite promising and interesting. The film is all set to release this Diwali on Disney+ Hotstar.

Along with Kriti and Rajkummar, the film also stars Paresh Rawal and Ratna Pathak Shah, Aparshakti Khurana, Manu Rishi Chadha, Prachee Shah Paandya in pivotal roles. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Abhishek Jain, this film will mark Kriti and Rajkummar’s third collaboration after Bareilly Ki Barfi and Raabta. Written by Deepak Venkateshan, this film is a Maddock Original Film.

Reportedly, The film, titled Hum Do Hamare Do is about a young couple who decide to adopt two parents to fill the void in their lives. The adopted parents will be played by Paresh Rawal and Ratna Pathak Shah, and their characters will reportedly wreak havoc in the young couple’s life. While the film made headlines when it was announced, there were no updates due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On the work front, Rajkummar Rao was last seen in the horror-comedy ‘Roohi’ directed by Hardik Mehta. Rajkummar will be next seen alongside Bhumi Pednekar in ‘Badhaai Do’ directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni. Talking about Kriti Sanon, she also has quite an exciting lineup of projects. One of the most exciting is the Pan-India film with Prabhas, Sunny Singh and Saif Ali Khan titled Adipurush.

Actress Bhumi Pednekar says she wants to do films that portray women correctly and she is thankful to the directors she has collaborated with because they shared the same vision for societal change.

Bhumi started her journey in Hindi cinema with the hit film ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ in 2015. She was then seen in films such as ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, ‘Son Chiriya’, ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan,’ ‘Bala’, and ‘Sandh Ki Aankh’ among others.

The actress is now looking forward to her upcoming line up, which includes ‘Mr.Lele’, ‘Badhaai Do’ and ‘Raksha Bandhan’.

The actress said: “I have always been super confident of my different and unique, preferably with a message and most importantly, portray women correctly.”

Bhumi added: “As a woman, I feel it is my duty to choose scripts that portray women with a lot of dignity. I’m happy that I have got the chance to play such characters due to the fantastic scripts that have come my way.”

She also said: “I’m fortunate for all the opportunities that allowed me to play such characters that stood up for themselves and society. I connected with my characters at a deeper level and maybe that’s why people loved them too.”

Aanand L Rai’s mother passes away, Akshay Kumar attends her funeral despite his personal loss

This morning, Akshay Kumar disclosed the passing away of his mother, Aruna Bhatia. She was critical and admitted to the ICU, and the actor, who was shooting for a film in the U.K., flew back to Mumbai to be with her. As per reports, the star reportedly told his producers to carry on shooting with scenes that do not require his presence.

While the actor was dealing with this tragic loss, his close friend and filmmaker Aanand L Rai’s mother passed away on the same morning. Despite his personal tragedy, Kumar was seen arriving at the Oshiwara crematorium to pay his last respects to Aanand L Rai’s mother. He wore a white kurta and sported a face mask as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.

Akshay Kumar and Aanand L Rai are working together in the film ‘Rakshabandhan’, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar. They have also collaborated for ‘Atrangi Re’, which has been delayed due to the COVID-19 crisis. The comedy-drama co-starring Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush has been directed by Aanand L Rai.

Akshay tweeted earlier today, “’She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti”.

Bhumi Pednekar could be seen in the next Ali Abbas Zafar’s film opposite Shahid Kapoor. Though there is not confirmation from the actress or director yet, but the actress had been spotted outside the office of Ali Abbas a few days ago.
A secret source close to the film said, “Bhumi could be finalised soon. The makers are keen on casting her because she hasn’t worked with Shahid before, so their pairing will definitely be a fresh casting coup” as stated by Times of India. Moreover this film is a remake of a foreign film and is expected to be a thriller which will be shot in Abu Dhabi late this year.

Bhumi Pednekar has just wrapped up the shoot of her upcoming film ‘Rakshabandhan’. She also has ‘Badhai Do’ which is also canned and then there’s ‘Mr. Lele’ with Vicky Kaushal. With so many upcoming projects the actress seems very busy. Shahid Kapoor too has finished the shooting of his OTT film ‘Operation Cactus’ and has ‘Jersey’ ready for release which is the remake of a Telugu film of the same name. So both the actors are having a good time being busy and enjoying the work.

Kartik Aaryan’s Naanu passes away, Bhumi Pednekar, Huma Qureshi mourn

Pyaar ka Punchnama actor Kartik Aaryan’s Naanu passes away at age of 85, The actor shared a throwback picture where his Naanu is holding baby Kartik.

He captioned the post saying “Hope I get your swag some day RIP Naanu” following emojis. as soon as he dropped the post his co-stars and friends condoled the actor’s loss. Actors like Nimrat Kaur, Bhumi Pednekar, Huma Qureshi, Anaita Shroff Adjania, Lauren Gottlieb, Farah Khan and others mourned Kartik’s loss. Bhumi Pednekar commented on the post with a praying emoji, while Huma Quereshi commented “RIP”.

On the work front, Kartik’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Dhamaka is set to release this year he was last seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh. Kartik started his career with ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ and gained mediocre popularity. Kartik Aaryan peaked after ‘Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety’.

He will also be seen in Sameer Vidvan’s film Satyanarayan Ki Katha. while talking to a leading daily he said “A title of the film is something that emerges organically through the creative process. We have taken a decision to change the title of our recently announced film ‘Satyanarayan ki Katha’ to avoid hurting sentiments, even if that’s purely unintentional. Producers of the film and the creative team also are in complete support of this decision. We will be announcing a new title for our love story in the due course of our journey.”
