Animal is a gangster-based family drama exploring the dark side of human emotions. Buzz is, Ranbir plays a psychopath in the film, however, we still await confirmation on the same. The film will be a 2023 theatrical release.

A source close to the development revealed, “The team is planning to commence work on this ambitious project in the April/May window and shoot it extensively over a period of six months. Apart from Ranbir, it also features Bobby Deol, Parineeti Chopra and Anil Kapoor in key roles and their bulk combination dates are being worked upon,”. 

Before moving on to Animal, Ranbir will complete work on his ongoing Luv Ranjan directorial, co-starring Shraddha Kapoor. He is also doing Ramayana with Nitesh Tiwari, which is expected to go on floors by next year-end. While Ranbir plays lord Ram, Hrithik Roshan will be seen as Ravana in this epic. It’s among the biggest Hindi films and the makers are currently looking for an actress to play Sita.

Meanwhile, Ranbir is all geared up to wrap up the most ambitious film of his career, the Ayan Mukerji directed Brahmastra. The team will be shooting for a grand song soon and will call it a wrap by November. Ranbir’s calendar looks sorted at the moment with Shamshera in March, Brahmastra in June 2022 and Luv Ranjan’s film around the October/November window.

‘HIT – The First Case’ is a remake of a 2020 released Telugu film, that tells the story of a cop who is on the trail of a missing woman. The original version was written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu himself. It starred Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in lead roles and was a profitable venture at the box office.

Today, present at ‘Mahurat Pooja’ were actor Rajkummar Rao, producers Dil Raju, Bhushan Kumar, Kuldeep Rathore, and director Dr Sailesh Kolanu. On the professional front, Rajkumar will be next seen in ‘Badhai Do’, ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’ and ‘Monica O My Darling’. Sanya, whereas will be seen in ‘Meenakshi Sundereshwar’ and ‘Love Hostel’.

The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani. Debutant director Vardhan Ketkar will helm the film. Earlier, Sidharth Malhotra was going to play the lead, but the makers later roped in Aditya Roy Kapur. And now to be cast opposite him, the ‘Batla House’ and ‘Super 30’ fame, Mrunal Thakur has been roped in. She, herself broke the news through an Instagram post :

Thadam is an action-thriller inspired by true events. The plot of the film revolves around the murder of a young man. The film takes an interesting turn when the key accused is found to have a look-alike. The original film was directed by Magizh Thirumeni.

Bringing the actress on board, producer Bhushan Kumar said: “When Murad Bhai and I were discussing the cop’s character, we instantly thought of Mrunal. She has chosen many interesting roles in her films and also stood out with her performances in them. We thought that she would be perfect for this character and we are glad she is equally excited to be a part of this.”

“When I heard the story, I instantly knew that I needed to be a part of this film. My character is intriguing, and playing a cop has been on my checklist. This will be distinct from all the characters I have played till now,” Thakur revealed in an interview. Mrunal Thakur was recently seen in the Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directorial Toofan. She played the role of a doctor and a supportive partner in the movie opposite Farhan Akhtar and garnered praise for her powerful performance.

Hansal Mehta’s latest web series, Scam 1992- The Harshad Mehta story was a spectacular hit, being the topmost trending show on the digital platform.

The maiden collaboration of the talented trio we hear, is based on a true incident and has international origins. The untitled film produced by Anubhav Sinha and Bhushan Kumar directed by Hansal Mehta, has been in the pre production phase for the last few months.

According to sources, the film will see two fresh faces opposite each other in the film. The cast of the film is being kept under wraps and will be revealed soon. It will be exciting to see what is in store for the audiences and who these epic storytellers would be backing and bringing forth on the silver screen. The shoot for the film kick-starts from today and will be shot keeping all the COVID safety precautions in mind.

“The film has been in pre-production mode for sometime now. Everything has been planned keeping in mind the ongoing situation, all the safety measures will be in place during the shoot. The two fresh faces have been handpicked and groomed by Anubhav and Hansal after months of gruelling sessions” said the source.

The film is jointly produced by Benaras Mediaworks, T-Series along with Mahana Films and directed by Hansal Mehta.
