Vishnuvardhan’s directorial venture Shershaah is a biopic on the Kargil war hero Capt. Vikram Batra. The soldier who was in love with a girl called Dimple laid down his life for his motherland after vowing to marry his ladylove as a result of which the promises couldn’t be fulfilled.

Mimi is a 2021 comedy-drama film written and directed by Laxman Utekar and co-written by Rohan Shankar. A remake of the Marathi film Mala Aai Vhhaychy. The film stars Kriti Sanon in the lead role of an ambitious small town young girl who decides to be the surrogate mother for a barren foreign couple. Others gracing the film were Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa, Supriya Pathak, Evelyn Edwards and Aidan Whytock in supporting roles.

4. Kaagaz – 7.5 

Kaagaz is a biographical comedy film written and directed by Satish Kaushik and produced by Salman Khan and Nishant Kaushik under the banner of Salman Khan Films and The Satish Kaushik Entertainment Production. The film stars Pankaj Tripathi and Monal Gajjar with Amar Upadhyay who played the main roles. Bugs Bhargava Krishna directorial Nail Polish is a legal thriller drama film. The movie is all about the trial of a popular social activist who is accused of raping and murdering two migrant children while also suspected of killing others. Nail Polish premiered on ZEE5 on 1 January 2021. Actors like Arjun Rampal, Manav Kaul, Madhoo, Rajit Kapur and Anand Tiwari feature in the lead roles.

The film is a screen adaptation of Aravind Adiga’s novel of the same name. The movie story is about a rich Indian family’s ambitious driver.

Umesh Bist directorial Pagglait is a black comedy-drama film. It tells the story of a young widow, with an inability to grieve, who is learning to deal with the entire family and also discover secrets about her late husband. This movie stars Sanya Malhotra, Ashutosh Rana, Shruti Sharma and Raghubir Yadav in pivotal roles.

9. Sherni – 6.8 

Sherni is an action adventure film directed by Amit V. Masurkar and produced by T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment. Vidya Balan plays the leading role of an Indian Forest Service officer. The film also features Sharat Saxena, Vijay Raaz, Ila Arun, Brijendra Kala, Neeraj Kabi and Mukul Chaddha feature in supporting roles. Sherni is a big blow to the sexist framework of the society which tends to classify women as the weaker sex who are unable to undertake certain kinds of jobs and responsibilities. Ajeeb Daastaans is an anthology film, consisting of four different short story segments. The film has been collectively directed by Shashank Khaitan, Raj Mehta, Neeraj Ghaywan and Kayoze Irani and produced by Karan Johar and Netflix.

A source from Bollywood hungama revealed the interview he had with the director of OMG 2. The source said, “Director Amit Rai commences shooting for the ambitious social comedy today in Mumbai with Pankaj Tripathi. The actor will be canning his solo sequences over the next few days and will then be joined by Yami Gautam, who plays the female lead. Akshay Kumar will start his work in October. Akshay has allotted 15 to 20 days for his track of Lord Krishna in Oh My God 2.”

“They are aware about the cult following of Oh My God and have been working for last decade to get the script right to take the story forward. They amicably decided on the sequel only on being satisfied that the script was better than the first part. The treatment and subject will surprise the audience,” said the source of Bollywood Hungama and said everyone related to the film is very excited regarding it’s shoot and release.

The film will be released on the silver screen on December 03. Tara and Ahan finished shooting for the film in March this year. In an earlier interview, the director of the movie Milan Luthria also talked about Ahan’s character. He said: “Ahan’s character runs a movie theatre. The scene with which the schedule is starting has a lot of drama,” he had said in a statement. He also said that they adapted the Telugu story to suit the Hindi audience. “I loved the original film and we have adapted it to suit the Hindi audience’s sensibilities. It’s a dramatic and unexpected story,” he added.

The film is expected to be a blockbuster hit after the baaghi actor treated his fans with a teaser on Instagram. Shroff is seen saying, “Apun ko janta ne aur God ne bola aane ko, to apun aa re la hai.” in the trailer. The actors and the crew have claimed this film to be a their most ambitious project.

Tiger’s phenomenal energy, discipline, and commitment to the film have simply wowed us all.”

Meanwhile, Bollywood Actress Deepika Padukone has typically spoken out in regards to the stunning pay disparity between male and female actors in Bollywood.

It has been reported that, Deepika Padukone is now out of consideration for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra as she asked for the same remuneration as her husband Ranveer Singh, who has been roped in as the titular character. However, her demand wasn’t agreed upon, thus she backed out.

The source quoted by “Bollywood Hungama” said, “Apparently, Deepika wants the same remuneration as her husband. Not a penny more, not a penny less. A champion for pay parity among actors and actresses, Deepika has been demanding and getting as much her leading men in her recent films. But, this time in Baiju Bawra, Bhansali has regretfully turned down her request for pay parity”.

Baiju Bawra is the remake of the 1952 film of the same name, starring Bharat Bhushan and Meena Kumari. The film chronicled the story of a young musician who challenged musical maestro Tansen in Mughal ruler Akbar’s court.

On the work front, Deepika has multiple projects lined up. She will be starring with Ranveer in Kabir Khan’s ’83. Deepika also has Shakun Batra’s untitled movie in her kitty in which she will be seen with Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi. She will also be seen in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter in which she will star opposite Hrithik Roshan.

Not just them but even the producer seemed really excited about the film and about the acting of the love aaj kal actor, Kartik. Producer Ronnie Screwvala said, “Captain India is not just a story of one of the biggest humanitarian operations ever but also about the indomitable human spirit, one that rises above failure despite the odds. Hansal Mehta is one of the finest filmmakers of our time and has always beautifully captured the true essence of humane stories. Kartik Aaryan’s fans are surely in for a treat as he steps into all-new territory with ‘Captain India’.”

Though the poster is out, fans and critics wait for the teaser and the trailer. The movie is all set to be out on screens by 2022.

The movie was hugely loved by the audience. The performance of Shah Rukh as Dev, Aishwarya as Paro or Madhuri as Chandramukhi won the audience’s heart. It was one of my first few baby steps in the field of acting. I came on board for the film after a long-drawn-out series of screen tests, auditions, and a music video”.

He added, “It was somewhat of a sleeper hit, and yes, I did expect it to do reasonably well. I received favourable reactions from the audience after the film’s release. That was a purely unintentional development and it took a lot of time for me to get used to it. I feel it was not me but my character ‘Shekhar Malhotra’, who received all the love”
