everyone was dressed in traditional outfits, however, one actor that stood out as usual with his quirky sense of style was none other than Ranveer Singh. Ranveer was seen wearing a multicolored silk shirt that hung loosely on his torso and he paired it with light blue pants. He complimented his attire with zircon studs in his ears, a pair of azure transparent sunglass, and a light pink alpine hat! It didn’t seem as though he had come to attend an Eid party. On the other hand, his wife Deepika wore a black velvet embroidered salwar and she teamed it with black dhoti pants and black stilettos. She had tied her hair in a messy bun.

No sooner did the videos of the couple make it online than the trolls started bashing Ranveer for his sense of style. Some people even called him “mad”. Yes, that’s true. Well, allegedly a crew member from Pathan DMed Diet Sabya revealing the reason for her absence from the Met Gala this year. For the uninitiated, the film Project K has been in the news since it has been announced. The film also features Deepika Padukone in one of the lead roles. The actress also completed filming the first schedule with Prabhas in Hyderabad. It is a science-fiction film and the sets have been constructed at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Filmcity. The film is also being touted to be one of the most expensive films of all time.

Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in Goodbye paired with Neena Gupta, he will also be seen in Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The megastar will also been seen in the NAgraj Manjule directorial Jhund and Runway 34.

The film is set for an OTT release and now that the trailer launch in Alibaug has been cancelled, it will be interesting to see when and how are they planning to launch the trailer of the film and how will the makers promote it.

It is reported that, “On an all-India level, around 10-15% of ‘83’s shows have been discontinued. The response to the film over the weekend was not encouraging at all. In some centers, it did 1/4th business of Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01.”

On the other hand, the distributor of the Allu Arjun starrer in Bihar stated, “4 cinemas removed 83 and replaced it with Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01. One of them decided to make the change on Friday itself.”

Moreover, trade analyst Taran Adarsh stated, “I am not aware (about reduction of the shows). But it’s a normal practice for multiplexes to reduce the show of a particular film and replace it with that of a film that is doing better.” The analyst further added, “The film comes with a heavy price tag and its numbers have been a disappointment for the industry. Post Sooryavanshi, Spider-Man: No Way Home and Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01, one expected another success in the form of 83. However, the collections have proved to be a setback.”

Ranveer’s coach quoted, “I am just too overwhelmed and grateful to God and everyone who has been a part of this epic. What it has become and what results we are seeing is just an outcome of sheer honesty of the work put in by all.” Moreover, he added, “It was like a prayer for you, I remember how much love, sweat, you have poured in.”

The coach also threw some light on Ranveer’s preparations for the role, “Every batting session, every ball that I bowled to you, every single ball you bowled in practice, every single exercise we did, every single pool session and each and every minute we have spent in pursuit of excellence…. Is all worth it Ranveer.”

In conclusion, he stated, “I can’t love and thank you enough, I’m just inspired by every inch of who you are.”

Another side, Deepika Padukone played the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev in 83. Talking about the film Deepika stated, “It’s incredible and this is how I define ’83’. For me, ’83’ is not a film, it’s an emotion. It’s an experience. I don’t think you can define what you feel when you come out of the cinema halls watching this film.”

The announcement of the film getting tax free in the national capital circulated through a tweet made by Reliance Entertainment, “Thank you, Shri. @ArvindKejriwalji and Shri @msisodia ji, for declaring the film 83 tax-free in Delhi! Your gesture will able us to propagate the tale of India’s greatest victory to a wider audience. @therealkapildev #ThisIs83.”

To this, Deepika said about the fact that people need to rest and they need to experience life in its entirety and not just through their work.

And then, she was asked by Anupama Chopra what changes she wishes to bring as a producer (She’s producing the upcoming movie 83), and the star replied that firstly, she would like to give all stakeholders on the set some time off so they can replenish their energy. Secondly, a 5-day week, during which no one bothers anyone on Sunday. Thirdly, giving the crew members the money they deserve for extended hours. And lastly, good food for everyone. This is a topic that remains undiscussed on major platforms and it’s heartening to see Deepika trying to change that.

Moreover, everyone should have the access to nutritious food, it’s something that sustains us, and any discrimination when it comes to basic things that keep us alive is simply unfair. She also added that she’d want the cast and the crew to have access to a mental health professional, who they can reach out to if required.

On the film front, the actress is sharing screen with husband Ranveer Singh. The movie ’83’ is based on Indian cricketer Kapil Dev, where Deepika is playing the role of his wife Romi Bhatia.
