The movie was hugely loved by the audience. The performance of Shah Rukh as Dev, Aishwarya as Paro or Madhuri as Chandramukhi won the audience’s heart. Not only that, Nitin Chandrakant Desai’s grandeur of the sets, Ismail Darbar’s songs “Dola re Dola”, “Bairi Piya”, “Silsila ye pyaar ka”, the costumes of the actors left the audience at awe. The movie won 5 National Awards, and remained as one of the best movies in the history of Indian Cinema.

Today, the actors took to their social media to remember the memories they spent on set, Shahrukh Khan mentioned his “dhoti kept falling off” and Madhuri dedicated the movie as an Ode to the late actor Dilip Kumar.
