This film will mark the first collaboration of Akshay and Emraan. A source close to the development revealed, “While Akshay plays the role of a superstar in this edge of the seat drama, Emraan will be seen portraying the character of a cop, who happens to be a die-hard fan of the Khiladi. The film is an ego battle between the two powerful, which keeps the audience on the edge of their seat”. 

“When Karan Johar made this proposal to the makers of Driving License, Prithviraj was keen to bankroll the project alongside KjO in Hindi. The two eventually decided to join hands on this star-studded project. Much like the original, Driving License in Hindi too will be produced by Prithviraj,” the source added. The script and screenplay are locked and reportedly, there have been changes made to make it palatable for the Hindi speaking audience.

Driving License goes on the floors in January and will be shot over a period of 50 days. Before moving onto Driving License, Akshay will finish his work on Cinderella, Oh My God 2 and Ram Setu. Emraan on the other hand will wrap up his antagonist turn alongside Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in Tiger 3. 

The film is an official remake of Prithviraj’s 2019 Malayalam film Driving License. In the film PRithviraj payed the character of a famous superstar and Suraj Venjaramoodu portrayed the role of a motor inspector who is his huge fan. However, it is because of a misunderstanding that a rift is caused between the two and they become sworn enemies. It has been reported that Akshay Kumar will play the role of Prithviraj and Emran will be playing the part Suraj played in the original film.

We have all known that whatever remakes are madein Bollywood are almost shot by shot copies of the original film, but hopefully or as the reports suggest there will be minor changes in the script for this one and the film will go on floors in the month of January 2020 with a start to finish 40 day schedule in the United Kingdom.

Team Tiger 3 will also shoot in Turkey and Austria. Along with Salman, Sohail’s son Nirvan Khan too accompanied the team where he is likely to assist director Maneesh in this film.

Tiger 3 will be an Action-thriller film where Salman and Katrina will reprise their respective roles of Avinash (Tiger) and Zoya. Tentative listed to be released in 2022, this film will mark the first collaboration between Salman Khan and Emraan Hashmi. Emraan along with Naufal Azmir Khan will be playing a negative role in this film. Interestingly, Emraan who plays a Pakistani ISI spy in this film is working on a YRF project for the very first time.

Katrina whereas has some interesting films lined up for her. Her upcoming film, ‘Sooryavanshi’ is awaiting a theatrical release whereas she will next seen in ‘Phone Booth’ alongside Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi.

In a new Instagram story, Rhea shared a note which said, “We live in the Kalyug, it’s the time when humanity will be challenged and human values will be given ample opportunity to collapse. We need to come together, find love and compassion in our hearts and hold on to those human values we were taught as children. It’s the only way to live through these dark times. So hold on tight to your families and loved ones… because love truly conquers all.”

As for upcoming projects, Rhea will soon be seen in Chehre starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi as the protagonists. Rhea was boycotted from the films last year after the death of her then-boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput. 

Sushant’s family accused her of misappropriation of his funds and abetting his suicide. Afterwards, Rhea Chakraborty denied all allegations and filed a countersuit against the family.

Rumy Jafry, director of Chehre, in a recent interview, said if the film had been released last year it would have been affected by the controversy. He further said that the public’s opinions about Rhea have changed in recent times: “Everyone knows what a furore the media caused with the whole Sushant Singh Rajput case and Rhea’s arrest. Last year, she was a witch, a golddigger and whatnot; this year she was declared the ‘most desirable woman.’ This shows there has been a change in the perception of people,” said Rumy to a news portal.
