Amitabh Bachchan denies to talk to Jaya Bachchan on KBC 13, she replies ‘achhi baat hai’

Amitabh Bachchan invited the women of Bchchan khandaan on the 1000th episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati. While his daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda and granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda sat on the ‘hot seat’, his wife Jaya Bachchan joined in via video call. Moreover, Jaya got the opportunity to make her disapproval of his fashion sense known.

Meanwhile, Navya pointed out that Big B looked dapper in his suit, a departure from the gowns he wears at home. Shweta stated, “Ghar pe jab hum dekhte hain KBC—Mama, main, Navya, Agastya—aapke style aur kapdo pe bahut charcha hoti hai (When we watch KBC at home—mom, Navya, Agastya and I—we always discuss your clothes),” as Navya noted that a ‘report card’ is made on his style.

Subsequently, Shweta and Navya turned to Jaya and Navya said, “Unko koi colours aap pe ache nahi lagte, wohh directly bol deti hain (She doesn’t like certain colours on you, and she doesn’t hesitate in saying so).” Amitabh turned to his wife, and asked if what Navya was saying is true.

Jaya replied with scrunching her nose, “Aapko khud ko maine kaha hua hai, ek toh maroon-brown pehente hain (I have said this to you as well, that maroon-brown thing you wear)…” she further added, “Aur ek jo violet colour ka suit pehente hain (And then there’s that violet-coloured suit)…”

After that, Bachchan pointed out that Navya was also wearing violet, but Jaya replied, “Nahi, nana ka kuch ajeeb sa mauve… Pata nahi, acha nahi lagta (Your grandfather has this mauve thing, it looks very bad).” Amitabh asked, “Aur hum jo violet pehente hain acha nahi lagta (And when I wear violet it doesn’t look good)?” Jaya replied, “Aap pe acha nahi lagta (Not on you).”

Meanwhile, Amitabh reacted in mock anger, and said that he doesn’t want to talk to Jaya any more. While Jaya replied “Achi baat hai (That’s a good thing).”

Raqesh Bapat who’s known for films like Dil Vil Pyar Vyar and Heroine, along with TV shows Saat Phere, Seven, Maryada, Qubool Hai, Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant and Tu Aashiqui, turns 43 today. Although, his most loved project remains his debut film Tum Bin, which completed 20 years in July this year.

Raqesh is currently locked up inside the Bigg Boss OTT and is paired with Shamita Shetty as a connection. Their budding love has been catching eyeballs and now and then they make headlines. Raqesh, who’s also an artist and a sculptor, has opened up about his Tum Bin days before entering Bigg Boss.

The actor said it was the day when he had called his entire family and parents from Pune for the screening of Tum Bin at Adlabs in Filmcity. “On the same day – July 13, 2001, Aks had released and that screening was happening before us. So we were waiting in the parking lot. Suddenly I see Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, everyone stepping out. Jaya Ji saw me from far away and came to me and said, “You’re that Bapat boy right? I’m so proud to meet you, you’re so promising. I keep telling Abhishek to look out for you.” Refugee had been released a while back. She called Abhishek and he hugged me and said “Dude, every time your promo comes, my mom calls me and says lookout for this guy, he’s your competition,” Raqesh said.

He further added that Jaya Bachchan also introduced Amitabh Bachchan to him, who met him warmly, which gave validation to his parents that Raqesh had made a name for himself in the film industry. “Suddenly I was in front of such legends and I didn’t know what to say. Mr Bachchan said Tum Bin looks like a good film. My entire family was in awe seeing the Bachchans in person. My parents almost fainted I think (laughs). My father was against me taking up this profession. He wanted me to get a job. But this instance changed their entire outlook towards what I was doing. These are the validation you get for the work you do,” he shared.

Karan Johar commences shooting for ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’

Karan Johar returns to the director’s seat after four years and begins the first schedule of his upcoming, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. The film stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in lead and is set to release in 2022.

The film also stars veteran superstars Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi. RRKPK is written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumit Roy. Watch out for their introduction snippet:-

Karan, Alia, and Ranveer shared a video of them getting ready and starting the schedule where Alia flaunts a traditional look and Ranveer shows his dancing moves. The film promises madness and masala as every other KJo movie. Watch out yourself:-
