To add to their filmography, Maddock Films announces its next, an action-thriller Tehran starring John Abraham, directed by Arun Gopalan and written by Ritesh Shah and Ashish Prakash Verma. The film is inspired by true events.

The movie is slated to have a Republic Day release next year- 26 January 2023. A Maddock Films production in association with, Bake my Cake films, the film is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Shobhna Yadav and Sandeep Leyzell.

The Satyamev Jayate actor took to his social media handle to reveal his status on Monday. He stated that he was in contact with a COVID positive person three days ago.

“I came in contact 3 days ago with someone who I later learned had COVID. Priya and I have tested positive for COVID. We have been quarantined at home so haven’t been in contact with anyone else,” he wrote on Instagram.

He also stated that that the two of them are experiencing mild symptoms. “”We are both vaccinated and experienced mild symptoms. Please stay well and healthy. Masks up.”

Amid the third wave of the Coronavirus pandemic several B’town celebrities have tested positive for the virus. At first it was Karan Johar who tested positive, later, Kareena Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, Nora Fatehi and Shilpa Shirodkar too shared their positive status. Most recently, Lionel Messi too revealed that he had tested positive for the virus.

It was during last week when actor Arjun Kapoor, his cousin and producer Rhea Kapoor, and her husband Karan Boolani tested positive for COVID-19. Arjun’s sister Anshula Kapoor as well was afflicted with Coronavirus.

Sharing the teaser, John quoted, “Get ready to witness the making of India’s first super-soldier! Teaser out now.#Attack releasing in cinemas worldwide on Jan 28.” As soon as John shared the teaser, fans began showering it with compliments. Many were blown away by John’s super-soldier avatar.

Meanwhile, the film also stars Prakash Raj, Ratna Pathak Shah in pivotal roles. It is helmed by Lakshya Raj Anand and is backed by Dr.Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios), John Abraham (JA Entertainment), and Ajay Kapoor Productions.

Previously, the star faced flak on internet for his explanation on why heart attacks occur. As he made an appearance on The Kapil Sharma comedy show to promote his forthcoming film. During this, the actor also talked about how stress is harmful for health. Moreover, he elaborated by giving an analogy of how oil reacts with water. Equating Triglycerides to oil, John stated they are like ‘bubbles’ in the blood, which when they travel to the heart cause a heart attack, induced by stress.

To this, the actor had to face criticism for analogy on social media.

Rumours were now rife that Pen Studio’s upcoming three big stints: Alia Bhatt’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, South biggie ‘RRR’ and John Abraham’s action entertainer ‘Attack’ will release on digital streaming platforms. ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and is one of the most anticipated films being shot extensively during the pandemic. Announcing the film’s wrap in June this year, Alia had shared on Instagram, “This film and set has been through two lockdowns.. two cyclones.. director and actor getting covid during the making!!! The troubles the set has faced is another film all together! But through all that and more.. what I take away is the gigantic life changing experience!”

Speaking about SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘RRR’, the film features megastars Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, Ray Stevenson, and Alison Doody. Produced by DVV Danayya under the DVV Entertainments banner, the much-awaited Pan-India film is a fictional tale of the younger days of freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Seetharamaraju and will release on October 13 this year.

On the other hand, ‘Attack’ is an action-thriller film starring John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. The film is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam action thriller ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ that originally featured actors Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon in lead roles.

Now, the news is out that the Ayyappanum Koshiyum Hindi remake is definitely happening, and the replacement has been finalized against John Abraham. If reports are to be believed, Arjun Kapoor has stepped in to play the second lead. This would mark Arjun’s second collaboration with John after their upcoming Mohit Suri thriller Ek Villain Returns. This yet-untitled Hindi remake will again see the two clashing with each other, however, this time it’ll not be the action-oriented fight but rather the battle of egos between a well-connected, wealthy and influential ex-Havildar and an upright police officer. 

It was also revealed that Abhishek’s dates were apparently clashing with the shooting timelines of Amazon Prime’s Breathe Season 3 that he had committed to way before this film. John then offered the film to Arjun who immediately agreed to come on board. This casting change, however, has delayed the film further and it’ll now go on floors in January 2022. 

John Abraham is currently shooting for Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan and will soon head to Spain for its final international stint. He will next be seen in Milap Zaveri’s masala entertainer Satyameva Jayate 2 which is expected to release in theatres later this year. Arjun Kapoor, meanwhile, is currently gearing up for the Disney+Hotstar premiere of his horror-comedy Bhoot Police that also stars Saif Ali Khan, Yami Gautam, and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles. He will shoot for the recently announced Aasmaan Bharadwaj debut directorial Kuttey sometime in November!

A source close to the developments disclosed, “There is a shooting schedule planned for Europe but the dates haven’t been finalised yet. Also, contrary to media reports, Afghanistan was never on the list of locations for the film.”

Some rumours suggest that the team will shoot an elaborate portion of the film in Madrid and will be shot in the heart of the capital city of Spain.

SRK has already shot the Dubai schedule for the film in January this year, and on his return, Salman Khan shot a cameo for the film. Deepika Padukone and John Abraham have also shot for their part in the film.

The film went on the floor in November 2020 and was shot smoothly until the second wave. The team has been following the proper COVID-19 protocols strictly. The film is also likely to travel to Russia and has Alexandra Dostal as one of the producers. Dostal has previously worked on Fast & Furious 6′.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan reportedly returned to work and resumed shooting of his upcoming film “Pathan”.

Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated next, Pathan, has been in news since last November. ‘Pathan’ shoot was held off due to the lockdown in April. The Movie is under Yash Raj Films Studios production.

According to “Pinkvilla”, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone are set to start in the next few days.

A sizeable portion of the film will be shot in this schedule before the team heads to international locations to shoot the big action and scale sequences.”
