It was on Friday, 14th January 2022, that producer Mahaveer Jain announced the film on the comedian’s life under Lyca productions. The film is to be titled Funkaar and will be directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba who also directed Fukrey.

Lamba currently has all his focus on the third instalment of Fukrey and has stated he is, “looking forward to bring to the audience, the story of India’s most beloved FUNKAAR. Kapil Sharma.” Producer Mahaveer Jain and Lyca Productions have collaborated with Akshay Kumar for ram Setu, Sanjay Lela Bhansali for Man Bairagi, they have also collaborated on Good Luck Jerry that has Janhvi Kapoor playing the lead in the Anand L. Rai directorial. The film is originally a Tamil biopic on chess champion Vishwanathan Anand by Lyca Productions.

Mahaveer Jain stated, “Billions of people get their daily dose of dopamine, courtesy Kapil Sharma. We all need love, life, and laughter. We are proud to present comedy superstar Kapil Sharma’s untold story on the big screen, in a big way.”

Now, However, the Netflix series that has Kapil Sharma in a lead role, “Kapil Sharma: I am not done yet” will be premiering on the OTT platform on 28th January.

A note from Netflix read, “From the streets of Amritsar to the sets of Mumbai, Kapil Sharma has been entertaining us for a while now, but he is not done yet! “Our favourite comedian is all set to tickle your funny bone, this time on Netflix with his first comedy special marking his streaming debut.”

“When I learnt that they would be appearing as celebrity guests in the upcoming episode, I didn’t want to be a part of it, so I didn’t try to adjust my dates. I believe both parties don’t wish to share a stage,” Krushna told Times of India.

Now Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja has blasted Krushna and told a portal, “Last year in November, Govinda had issued a statement clarifying his stand and vowing to never discuss family issues in public. Like a thorough gentleman, he has kept the promise. I reiterate that we want to maintain a dignified distance, but it has reached a point where I feel the need to address the issue”. “Whenever we appear on the show, he says something about us in the media just for publicity. It makes no sense to discuss a family matter in public. Govinda may not respond or retaliate, but it upsets and infuriates me”, she added.

Sunita also claimed that Krushna’s talent is limited to using his mama’s name. “Is he not talented enough to give a hit show without using mama’s name?” she asked. She also ruled out the rift ending. “It will never happen. Three years ago, I had said that things could not be resolved till I am alive. You can’t misbehave, insult or take liberties in the name of family,” adding, “The issues will never get resolved and I don’t want to see his face ever again in my life.”

Last November, Krushna avoided the show and Govinda had issued a statement, accusing Krushna of making “defamatory” statements against him saying, “I am utterly sad to talk about this in public, but it is high time that the truth came out. I read the report about my nephew (Krushna Abhishek) not performing on a TV show as I was invited as a guest. He also spoke about our relationship. His statement had many defamatory comments and was thoughtless.”

During one conversation the host of the show Kapil Sharma, asked Ranbir’s sister Ridhima if ever her brother has sneaked her stuff without her permission and given it to his girlfriends, or would he always ask for permission from her for everything.

This made the jewelry designer laugh and she said, “Yes, I was studying in London and had returned home during the holidays. I was just sitting around one day and saw one of his female friends come home. Then I noticed that the top she was wearing was very similar to the one I had. It was then that I realised that to save his pocket money, he used to give most of my belongings.”

To this actress Neetu Kapoor said, “I have never given money to my children. But give them only as much as they need and never spoil them. I used to give them just enough.”

This time along with Kapil Sharma, TKSS will return with popular comedians namely Kiku Sharda, Sudesh Lehri, Sumona Chakravarti, Chandan Prabhakar, Krushna Abhishek, Bharti Singh Rochelle Rao, Gaurav Gera, and Rajiv Thakur. This time too, the laughing seat will be reserved by the OG, Archana Puran Singh herself. The show is all set to air on weekends at the 09:30 PM slot.

In the 21st August episode, Kapil Sharma will host Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, and Jackky Bhagnani who will be seen promoting their film, ‘Bell Bottom’ whereas in the 22nd August episode, Ajay Devgn, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar, and Ammy Virk will grace the show to promote their, ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’.

The coming weekends will supposedly host the filmy best friends Dharmendra – Shatrughan Sinha and the cricketing duo, Virender Sehwag – Mohammad Kaif.

The show recently fell into controversy when one of the show’s popular artists, Sumona Chakravarti was omitted from the new show’s promos. Sumona, who came out as a survivor of Endometriosis recently and talked about her long-time unemployment, gained a lot of support over the internet. Even though patience is bitter, the fruit is sweet. Now after a very long wait, the final dates for the third season of ” The Kapil Sharma Show” is out. It will be aired on 21st August 2021. Yes, you read that right.

According to reports, this season will be in stark contrast with the previous versions of the show. Not only will the comic style and the set change, but there are also chances that a few new faces will appear. From writers to actors quite a few drastic changes will be evident this season. Amongst all of this, the biggest speculation still is, whether Sunil Grover will rejoin the team or no. It is no surprise that Sunil and Kapil have had a rocky past.
The rumours about Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover reuniting are not new to our ears. But recently Sunil has been seen talking about the show. In one of his interviews, he said that if he likes the concept of the show, he has no issues working with the team again.
Kapil, on the other hand, has been requesting Sunil Grover to rejoin the cast and team up once again. Even the superstar, Salman Khan himself had a conversation with Sunil about him returning to the show. If this happens, the entire nation will be in shock. And the show’s TRP will beat the TRP of every other show in the country.
