Meanwhile, earlier this year, the former couple announced divorce after 15 years of their marriage. In a joint statement, “In these 15 beautiful years together we have shared a lifetime of experiences, joy and laughter, and our relationship has only grown in trust, respect and love. Now we would like to begin a new chapter in our lives – no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family for each other.”

“We began a planned separation some time ago, and now feel comfortable to formalise this arrangement, of living separately yet sharing our lives the way an extended family does. We remain devoted parents to our son Azad, who we will nurture and raise together. We will also continue to work as collaborators on films, Paani Foundation, and other projects that we feel passionate about.”

Besides, Aamir Khan and Kiran got married in 2015. They welcomed their son Azad Rao Khan in 2011 via surrogacy.

Aamir Khan’s unexpected divorce with wife Kiran Rao was the talk of the bollywood industry. The same thing had happened before in the Khan family when Faissal Khan had to face the ugly picture of divorce and that was the  reason he didn’t want to advice them. This not so popular when asked what is thoughts were on getting married again, said, “Unfortunately, I have not made enough money to afford a wife and I don’t have any girlfriend, because having one is also an expensive affair. Faissal Khan was also involved in a legal battle with his family after they kept him in a house arrest for  a year as they expressed concerns about his mental health. He took up the matter to court wanting his family to give up his signatory rights. In an interview with Bollywood humgama, Khan said, “I was given wrong medication for one year, which was very unfair on the family’s part.” According to him, he underwent a mental evaluation at JJ Hospital for 20 days, this eventually declared him mentally fir and healthy.

Aamir and Kiran gave their joint statement about their divorce and says they’ll co-parent their son, Azad Rao Khan. They will continue with their professional partnership and other projects they feel passionate about.
