Kriti Sanon took to her Instagram to post the first look for her next, Mimi. Recently on Ranveer’s birthday, she posted an unseen still from the movie. The shooting of the movie ended before the lockdown commenced last year. She has reportedly gained 15 kilograms for this role. The movie also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Supriya Pathak, Manoj Pahwa and others. Kriti plays the role of a surrogate mother in this movie. It is based on the Marathi Film, “Mai Aai Vhaaychy”, which won the National Award for the Best Feature Film in Marathi in the year 2011.   Famous cinematographer and director, Laxman Utekar directs the movie and it is produced by Jio Studios and Maddock Films. The film is to hit the screens this July. But Kriti didn’t really mention if the movie would release in the theatres or on OTT Platforms. She mentioned that Mimi is a great film and would love to entertain the masses in theatres with their content but right now it looks difficult. The actress didn’t reveal anything further whether the film will get an OTT release or not.

Kriti Sanon and Pankaj Tripathi have both worked with Laxman in the 2019 comedy, Luka Chuppi which turned out to be a hit. It will be interesting to see the trio unite again. Here’s the first motion poster of Mimi and Kriti’s first look in the movie,
