The victim was 39years old, ‘Rajesh Dhoot’, a resident of DN nagar Mumbai. Reportedly, Rajesh was drunk at the time he got hit by Rajat’s car and was in an inebriated state while crossing the road. Rajat’s car hit him, resulting in injuries to the back of his head. As per reports, Rajesh is in critical condition, and a case has also been registered against the actor.

According to reports, “The actor has assured the man’s family that he will get him complete treatment, however, he later left.”

The victim’s wife said, “The incident occurred at 6.30 pm when my husband was returning from work and he was drunk. Actor Rajat Bedi, who was driving his car with license number MH 02 CD 4809, hit my husband when he was crossing the road. He fell down, sustaining injuries to the back of his head.”

Rajat’s wife further added, “The DN Nagar police also visited the hospital, but they didn’t catch Bedi. If anything happens to my husband, Bedi will be responsible. He should be arrested,”

Milind Kurde, a Senior Inspector at DN Nagar police station, said that an FIR has been registered against the actor under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicles Act. However, no arrest has been made yet.

A doctor, who is treating Rajesh, said, “His condition is too critical, as he sustained head injuries. He is in the ICU and on oxygen support. He urgently needs blood.”

Very few and very brave like my producers @visfinienduri @shaaileshrsingM1 are compromising on huge profits and letting go off exclusive streaming options only for the love of cinema… in these times we must support each other and not bully or arm twist, it’s our fundamental right to recover the cost of our film which we did, we may have two weeks window for Hindi version but for south we have four weeks window yet multiplexes ganging up on us and stopping our release there as well —This is unfair and cruel in these testing times when major territories like Maharashtra are also shut —Please help each other in order to save theatres. The producer of the film Vishnuvardhan Induri says, “This happens. We are still negotiating with them, but we have to also make sure that we recover our investment. The theatre owners should support us because we are taking the risk of releasing the film in theatres despite the fact that as producers we have got returns from non-theatrical platforms.”

Speculations and rumours were afloat around Rhea Kapoor’s next outing that will bring together, Alaya F and Harshvardhan Kapoor. Contrary to rumours, they are not coming together for any film as of now.

When Alaya F was asked about her next films and also these rumours in a recent interview, she said, “I am not at liberty to talk about my forthcoming projects, but I must say a lot of amazing stuff is coming up. As far as the latter part of the question is concerned, well, it’s not true. They (Rhea and Harsh Varrdhan) are wonderful people and I have known Harsh for a long time. He is very well-versed in all things related to movies and it is always fun to have a chat with him. After a feature film, I did a music video and would also like to explore the digital space. I am looking at doing everything and don’t want to restrict myself as a performer to one medium.”

Both Alaya F and Harshvardhan Kapoor are new to the industry. While Alaya made a successful debut with Jawaani Jaaneman alongside Saif Ali Khan and Tabu post which covid became a roadblock, on the other hand Harshvardhan started off his career with a Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directorial titled Mirzya, post which he was also seen in Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.
