All the fans of Anil Kapoor are waiting with a bated breath to watch the film on the OTT platform and it was during an interaction with Zoom TV that the superstar Anil Kapoor opened up about working in the film together with his son. He said that Harrsh’s mother was very jealous of the fact that he was spending more time with his son than with her, and he also revealed that his son is not a pampered brat, “He is not one of those, jo hote hain na bacche, jo aake gale milte hai aur papa papa karte hain. We are more like friends, we meet and talk when it is really really necessary. I got more time to spend with him during the shoot of the film, and that’s what made my wife and Harsh’s mother very jealous, as I was spending more time with him than his mother.”

Bhatt’s most recent film, “Gangubai Kathiawadi,” directed by the legendary Sanjay Leela Bhansali secured the third biggest opening last weekend and the biggest non-holiday opening for a Bollywood film since the start of the pandemic.

Her 2019 film “Gully Boy,” directed by Zoya Akhtar, premiered at that year’s Berlin Film Festival and has become an international hit, grossing over $25M worldwide to date. The film is available to stream now on Amazon Prime and it was India’s official submission for Best Foreign Language Film for the 2020 Oscars.

Recognizing her international appeal (including over 60M followers on Instagram), the Academy inducted her into its 2020 class.

Alongside, the series also has a bunch of supremely talented newcomers, Muskan Jaferi and  Lakshvir Saran who are sharing the screen with Madhuri Dixit for the first time. From revealing interesting tidbits from shoots to highlighting their starstruck moments, these two had quite an experience while working on The Fame Game.

In a candid conversation, the duo spilled the beans on their journey and outlined what it was like working with Madhuri Dixit for the first time.

While sharing how Madhuri Dixit guided her along the scenes, Muskkaan Jaferi who previously starred in Netflix’s rom-com Mismatched, said “Since day one, she has been very caring. It completely baffled me because a woman of her stature was so humble and so down to earth. I remember, I had to hug her in a scene and My face was completely hidden, she then told me That I need to hug her in a manner that My face favours the camera or else I will be completely hidden! She was right. . She’s extremely humble and nurturing and actually cares about her co actors. Sometimes after the take, she’d make it a point to give me feedback and push me to do better. In one scene, when I was struggling, She really helped me get out of my head and deliver. When she liked my performance in a scene she would always appreciate me, it meant the world to me! As young people starting out, its a blessing to have someone like madhuri maam, notice what we do and appreciate us. I found a mentor in her and  it was really nice. Also we both love to sing. So we would sing a lot on set sometimes. It was just fantastic.”

Talking about the how Lakshvir Saran started viewing Madhuri Dixit who plays her on-screen mother in the show, as family even in real life, he said

“With Madhuri ma’am it was surreal in the beginning, because its difficult to forget the fact that you’re  working with Madhuri Dixit. What I tried to do was start taking her as a mother in the scenes and in between shots as well. But credit goes to her as well cause she never gave the sense that she’s Madhuri Dixit a superstar , but instead was a  co-actor who was equally invested in the scene and made me feel so comfortable . Having her around gave me a great sense of security. There is one scene where I’m breaking down and I went on to hug her and she realizes that it’s a small set up and I was probably moving out of the frame. She instantly held my shoulders and brought me back in frame. That’s Madhuri Dixit for me. She’s amazing. So, that’s the relationship I’ve had with her and now she feels like family”

The streaming giant announced the deal Tuesday on its website. Night School confirmed the purchase separately on its site, saying it’s “a surreal honor to be the first games studio to join Netflix.” Terms of the acquisition weren’t disclosed.

Founded by Sean Krankel and Adam Hines in 2014, Night School Studio is known for its debut title, the supernatural mystery adventure Oxenfree. Netflix plans to make games a part of its subscription, with no ads or in-app purchases.

The deal shows Netflix is advancing on its ambition to make video games an important extension of its online streaming business. The timing of its debut in that business is still up in the air, Co-Chief Executive Officer Ted Sarandos said at a conference Monday.

In a recent interview, talking about Detective Sherdil, Diljit expressed, “He (Ali) narrated the script to me. I asked him if it was a nice film. I trusted his words,” Diljit said in Hindi as he explained that he could not read the script because it was in English. “Luckily, shoot bohot accha hua hai (Luckily, the shoot went well),” he added.

But when told that in Bollywood, no one usually signs a film or lands on the sets of a film without knowing about their part or reading the script, Diljit candidly said, “I give a damn about getting work in Bollywood.”

Diljit said, “Mujhe kaam karna bhi nahi hai Bollywood me. Meri koi iccha bhi nahi hai Bollywood me bohot mahaan kalakaar banjaun. Main music ko pyaar karta hu aur bina kisi ke marzi ke music kar sakta hu. Bina kisi superstar ke kehne se. Iska kaam chalega ya nahi chalega, ya isko gaana milega ya nahi milega ye sab cheezein humare pe nahi chalti hai.”

He added, “Punjab me joh bhi artists hai, wo khud gaane banate hai. Ye bohot badi azaadi hai. Koi hume rok nahi sakta hai. Toh music banane se mujhe koi rok nahi sakta. Jab tak mera mann karega, music banega. Jab tak bhagwaan chahega, music banega. Bollywood me kaam mile na mile, ratti bhar fark nahi padta.”

When asked if he has had a bitter experience in the industry, Diljit replied, “Baat niklegi toh door tak jayegi. Bach jao jitna bach sakte ho (If I reveal, it will go too far. Save yourself till the time you can).” He completed his comment by saying, “Superstar honge apne ghar pe”.

That’s not all, Monday onwards, Thalaivii producers are holding multiple screenings for members of the Mumbai industry, which speaks volumes of their confidence in the film. Thalaivii is a multilingual biopic of actress-turned-politician J Jayalalithaa. Written by KV Vijayendra Prasad and cinematographed by Vishal Vittal, the film has music by GV Prakash. Apart from Kangana Ranaut and Arvind Swami in lead roles, Thalaivi also features Nassar, Bhagyashree, Samuthrakani, Madhu Bala, Prakash Raj, Jisshu Sengupta, and Poorna.

Lately, the theatre chain PVR refused to screen the movie until the makers ensure a four-week gap between its theatrical release and subsequent OTT run. After a long debate, the makers finally came to terms with the theatre chain and agreed to drop the film’s Telugu and Tamil version on OTT after a four-week-long gap. However, that is not happening with the Hindi version which will drop on Netflix after a two-week window. This is the reason the theatre chain had to take a hard stand against Thalaivii’s big-screen outing.

Opening up on this producer Vishnu Vardhan Induri said, “As a producer who has invested so much money in the film, I have the right to recover the investment. Every producer is trying various means [to stay afloat] — some are taking the direct-to-web route, others are waiting for a few more months. I can recover the cost only if there is a two-week window because, at this point, the box office won’t give me the returns that we would get earlier.” “If I opt for a four-week window [for the Hindi version], I will lose money and will land in a financial problem. I will never be able to make a film again. If I hold off the release and the third wave hits, I will lose out on seven months or so. Hence, the key people on the film have decided to go ahead with the September 10 release. Kangana stands by our decision”, he added.

This veteran actor will have her last film released, named ‘Kya Meri Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai’. The film also stars Jassie Gill, Surbhi Jyoti, and Vijay Raaz among others, and will be released on Zee5.

The film is based on the real-life incident when ‘Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai’ was written on a currency note, and it went viral. According to the makers, “Kya Meri Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai, set in a small town in Uttar Pradesh, is about a young man Sintoo who falls in love with Sonam Gupta, the town’s heartbeat and a girl way out of his league. The story unfolds when Sonam reciprocates his feelings, leaving Sintoo all the more confused. What follows is a comedy of errors where a line written on a note goes viral and starts a chain of events.”

Surekha, who was last seen in Netflix’s Ghost stories, had her presence on television too, of a great run. Be it Banegi Apni Baat (1993-1997), Just Mohabbat (1996-2000), Saat Phere (2006-2009), Ek tha Raja, Ek thi Rani (2015-2017), or her ever iconic, Balika Vadhu (2008-2016).

In cinemas too, she has a record of appearing in over 30 multilingual films, reflecting the various shades of uncommon characters over the years. It would be exciting and emotional at the same time to see her on-screen with this one.
