Hum Do Hamare Do Teaser Out: Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao promises to make this Diwali ‘familywaali’

Earlier this week, Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao shared a poster on their social media handles which stated, ‘Ab hamara hero kya karega?’. Now we know that ‘wo kya karega’. That poster was a buzz creator for the duo’s upcoming venture, ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’. The teaser of this movie is out and it looks quite promising and interesting. The film is all set to release this Diwali on Disney+ Hotstar.

Along with Kriti and Rajkummar, the film also stars Paresh Rawal and Ratna Pathak Shah, Aparshakti Khurana, Manu Rishi Chadha, Prachee Shah Paandya in pivotal roles. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Abhishek Jain, this film will mark Kriti and Rajkummar’s third collaboration after Bareilly Ki Barfi and Raabta. Written by Deepak Venkateshan, this film is a Maddock Original Film.

Reportedly, The film, titled Hum Do Hamare Do is about a young couple who decide to adopt two parents to fill the void in their lives. The adopted parents will be played by Paresh Rawal and Ratna Pathak Shah, and their characters will reportedly wreak havoc in the young couple’s life. While the film made headlines when it was announced, there were no updates due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On the work front, Rajkummar Rao was last seen in the horror-comedy ‘Roohi’ directed by Hardik Mehta. Rajkummar will be next seen alongside Bhumi Pednekar in ‘Badhaai Do’ directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni. Talking about Kriti Sanon, she also has quite an exciting lineup of projects. One of the most exciting is the Pan-India film with Prabhas, Sunny Singh and Saif Ali Khan titled Adipurush.

The first look of Rishi Kapoor’s upcoming big-screen appearance is finally unveiled. Titled Sharmaji Namkeen, the film marks his last project. However, some portions of Rishi Kapoor were pending as he passed away before completing the film, Paresh Rawal agreed to complete the remainder of the film ‘in the same role’.

Starring Juhi Chawla in a prominent role, the film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Honey Trehan, Abhishek Chaubey, and co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia. Directed by debutant Hitesh Bhatia, this film is a light-hearted coming-of-age story of a lovable 60-year-old-man.

Rishi Kapoor died on April 30, 2020, after a two-year-long battle with cancer. His wife, actor Neetu Kapoor also shared a post, remembering Rishi and the final days they spent together. “I learnt a lot from Rishi Ji during our last few traumatic years in NYC .. how we celebrated when his blood counts were high .. we dined shopped laughed .. in his lows we just stayed home watched tv ordered in amazing food n still had some wonderful moments in hope that the next round of chemotherapy he would be better .. hope and being strong is what he taught me .. value each day .. we all miss him today !!!” she wrote.

Presented by Excel Entertainment and Macguffin Pictures Production, the makers of ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ haven’t revealed the release date yet. The posters were shared by Alia Bhat, Farhan Akhtar, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and the late actor’s wife, Neetu Kapoor as well. All of them thanked Paresh Rawal mutually for his decision to complete this special film.

Actress Shamita wishes sister and actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra on her film’s release. Posting the poster of Humgama 2 the actress said ‘All d best my darling Munki for the release of ur film Hungama after 14 years ❤️I know Uve put in a lot of effort into this one.. the entire team has !’
She also added, ‘love you and with you ALWAYS ❤️ Uve gone through a lot of Ups n downs in life and one thing I know for sure .. Uve emerged stronger!… this too shall pass my darling . All the best to the entire team of #hungama2’.

Tagging the whole caste of Humgama 2 she said and requested her fans to watch the film. She stated ‘’Hungama 2 involves the relentless efforts of an entire team that’s worked very hard to make a good film, and the film shouldn’t suffer… ever!’’
Both the sisters gave their best in being professionals and not letting their personal life scam affect the film. But now the decision lies in the hands of the viewers if they would want to watch the film or ignore it because of the drama and controversy.

The Heri Pheri movies series, featuring the talented Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty are undoubtedly the most quintessential, outstanding, funny, and classic Bollywood films ever made.

In a conversation with the Indian Express, Rawal said ” They are trying to work it out. Hopefully, by the end of this year, we will get good news”.

Paresh Rawal and the director Priyadarshan have worked together many times apart from Hera Pheri to craft iconic and smashing hit movies like Chup Chup ke, Hulchul, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Their latest collaboration Hungama 2 will be released on 23, July 2021.

Talking about the amazing working dynamic and Priyadarshan’s unique style of direction Rawal added that “He has a lot of clarity about what he wants in his film and has clarity about the characters, storyline, and treatment of the story. He has a sense of proportion in comedy, which is very vital for the genre because you don’t want to go overboard. Also, the way he shoots his film… less fuss and maximum results are commendable. He has been experimenting in regional cinema. So, that benefit is also what our Hindi cinema is getting in terms of characterization and storyline. So, let’s say, with him, we are getting the best of both worlds”.

He spoke more about the upcoming film and said that the audience will not “experience vulgar or double meaning comedy. You will not see any sort of physical deformity being ridiculed”.
