PM Modi will be arriving in Washington DC on September 22 and the next morning they will be meeting with top US CEO’s.

A meeting with Apple chief Tim Cook is also on the cards. However, the official did not confirm the detail of the meet and told ANI that the schedule is still being worked out.

After back-to-back meetings with top business honchos of the US, PM Modi is also expected to meet US Vice President Kamala Harris, an Indian origin woman who rose to such rank in the US for the first time. As if now there is no official announcement of the meeting.

PM will also meet Australian Prime Minister Scot Morrison and Japanese counterpart Yoshihide Suga on the same day.

PM Modi will hold the first physical bilateral meeting with US President Joe Biden and participate in the first in-person Quad leaders’ summit in Washington on September 24.

Johnson’s visit also coinciding with PM Modi’s visit to Washington, there is also likelihood of them meeting too.

On September 24 evening, PM Modi will be proceeding to New York where next day he will deliver a speech at United Nations General Assembly.

Posting the letter on Twitter, Chirag Paswan, Ram Vilas Paswan’s son, thanked the Prime Minister for his affection towards the late leader.

“Sir, you have honored the work done by him for the society by putting the summary of the whole life of my father in your own words and have shown your affection towards him,” tweeted the MP from Jamui.

Ram Vilas Paswan – minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet and the founder of the Lok Janshakti Party – died on October 8 last year. Chirag Paswan is going by a traditional calendar to hold the first death anniversary of his father on September 12.

Prime Minister further hailed Ram Vilas Paswan as a champion of the poor and Dalits.

“Those looking to serve the nation via the political route must take lessons from the life of Ram Vilas Paswan.  Even after reaching the top, he was always available and cordial with his fellow party workers. He believed in dialogue and cordiality. This is the reason he had such good relations with political leaders across the board,” he added.

Ahead of the event, Chirag Paswan said he had invited top national leaders, including PM Modi, Home minister Amit Shah, and Congress President Sonia Gandhi, for the Patna event.

According to a press statement by the PMO, PM Modi arrives in Varanasi around 12.15 pm on Thursday and spends five hours in his parliamentary constituency. He will also meet with local officials to review Covid-19 preparedness before holding a public meeting of as many as 6,000 people on the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) grounds.

Before inaugurating the convention centre, PM Modi addressed a crowd in Varanasi on Thursday. During his speech lauded Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for successful handling of the second wave of Covid-19.

Constructed with Japanese assistance, the state-of-the-art centre will make Varanasi an attractive destination for conferences, thus drawing more tourists and businesspersons to the city.

As many as 108 Rudraksha have been installed at the convention centre and its roof is shaped like a Shiva Linga, official were quoted by new agency PTI as saying.
