With Ganesh Chaturthi just round the corner, Mumbai Police shared new guidelines for celebrations. “There should be no procession for the arrival of Ganesha idols. A group of maximum five persons will be allowed for the arrival of Ganesha idols. A group of maximum five persons will be allowed for arrival,” the order applicable under the jurisdiction area of Mumbai Police commissionerate read.

In the wake of a rise in the number of new coronavirus infections and fear of a third wave, the BMC has banned physical darshan for devotees at the public Ganpati pandals and appealed to citizens to celebrate the festival with simplicity on September 8.

For bringing the idols of the deity during their immersion, there will not be more than 10 people in the processions of public mandals and not more than five for the household Ganpatis, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in the guidelines issued.

“All devotees should wear masks and observe social distancing. Also, the 10 participants should have taken both the doses of COVID-19 vaccine and completed 15 days taking the second dose,” the guidelines said.

Earlier today, a team from the Mumbai Crime Branch investigated Shilpa Shetty’s Juhu residence. Shetty was then questioned about her husband’s connection in the pornographic racket. According to sources, the questioning session went on for more than six hours. Raj Kundra was also present during the session.

Shilpa was asked whether she was aware of the alleged racket involving the creation and distribution of pornographic content. The crime branch also wanted to inquire why Shilpa resigned as a director of position at Viaan Industries in 2020.
As per the police report, the racket was mainly operated from the office of Viaan Industries. Apart from this, the crime branch will also look into Shilpa’s bank account to see if she profited from the racket.

Mumbai Police recently raided the office of Viaan Industries in Andheri (West) and claimed to have seized up to 20 TB porn film data. But the crime branch said that approximately 1 TB of data had been deleted after Raj Kundra’s arrest. Investigators will go through CCTV of the office to figure out who deleted the data. Kundra’s judicial custody was also extended to July 27.

Police are investigating whether profit earned from the pornography racket was diverted to the cricket betting company by Raj Kundra,” a source said.

Meanwhile, the cases against Raj Kundra are registered under the sections of the Indian Penal Code, Information Technology Act, and Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) A.

The five who were arrested are members of the General Association of Hong Kong Speech Therapists, according to local media reports.

The association published three children’’ books that authorities apparently suspect are metaphors for the political crisis. The books feature stories that revolve around a village of sheep that has to deal with wolves from a different village. The sheep take action like going on strike or escaping by boat, according to the synopses published on the association’s website.

Police confirmed they arrested two men and three women from a trade union, but did not identify them of the union.

Police said that they are suspected of conspiring to publish, distribute, display or copy seditious publications with the intent to incite hatred, violence, and other non-law-abiding acts towards the Hong Kong authorities and the judiciary by the public, in particular young children.

According to the reports, Bhushan tortured the lady for more than 3 years from 2017 to August 2020 in the name of giving her an opportunity. The victim was taken to different places and physically tortured and was also threatened to viral their intimate pictures and videos on social media.

On an interaction to CNN-NEWS18, the Mumbai police confirmed that the case have been registered at DN Nagar Police station in Mumbai but no steps have been made yet. One of the senior police said, “Case registered u/s 376 IPC against Bhushan Kumar, managing director, T-Series, at DN Nagar Police station on allegations of rape with a 30-year-old woman on the pretext of engaging her for a project at the company. Probe underway, no arrests made till now”
