In June 2020, the actor was accused of raping and assaulting 4 women. He is also charged of 21 alleged victims between the ages of 15 and 51, said Los Angeles county prosecutor George Gascon on Wednesday. George said that these are charges since 1996.

This 68 years old X-Rated star who has appeared in films like, “Deep Throat II” and “John Wayne Bobbitt Uncut” was considered innocent on Twitter by himself when he denied all the charges that he was accused of.

“Ron — over the years, because of who he is — has essentially been a paramour to over 4,000 women. And to allege that he is a rapist is beyond… I mean, women throw themselves at him,” said Stuart Goldfarb adding to it that his client is not a rapist.

During the hearing, Mumbai Police told the court that the businessman might commit the crime again if released on bail and might even try to escape. Police further said that granting him bail would send the wrong message to society.

Kundra, who is in judicial custody in his bail plea, said police had filed a charge sheet in April and his name did not figure in it nor the FIR related to the case.

The plea said that the accused mentioned in the charge sheets are currently out on bail.”The entire order is based on conjectures and surmises and deserves to be set aside. The magistrate failed to appreciate that there was no material against the applicant to even show his alleged involvement in the alleged offence,” Kundra’s plea added.

Police further replied to the plea and said the crime was “serious” and they are still investigating where all the videos were uploaded.

Police explained that Kundra could contact his absconding relative Pradeep Bakshi and try to avoid an investigation. Being a British Citizen, Kundra can most likely escape if granted bail.

The Crime Branch said that not one person could deny the possibility of the video being uploaded outside India due to Kundra’s connection in the film industry. Speaking further about the case, police added the victims of the case were women from poor financial backgrounds. If Kundra is released then there’s a high probability that victims with crucial evidence might not come forward.

The court postponed the matter for a hearing on August 20.

Earlier Television actor and model Gehana Vasisth and two other people were also summoned for questioning by the Mumbai branch.

Bombay High court had given its verdict on Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorpe to judicial custody for 14 days. This was announced on July 27.

It was also informed prior by the officials that few of Kundra’s employees have turned off against him and they will give witness in the pornographic case. The actor will soon take responsibility of few more cases against him like face money laundering and Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) cases and Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The 45 year old businessman, has been named as the key conspirator by the Mumbai police and has several charges against him. He is arrested under Sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292 and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) besides relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

The actress has now approached the Bombay High Court against certain media houses for justice as she believes and alleges that her reputation has been maligned because if false reports against her.

According to media reports, she has said, her reputation her reputation has been harmed in the public eyes including her fans, peers and followers. She further stated that her reputation is an inextricable part of her right to life under Article 21 of the constitution of India and some media houses should be permanently banned foe sharing false reports with the public.

According to ANI, “Actor Shilpa Shetty has filed defamation suit in Bombay High Court against 29 media personnel & media houses for ‘doing false reporting & maligning her image’ in a pornography case in which her husband Raj Kundra is accused. Hearing in the case scheduled for tomorrow”

The plea also stated, “A bare perusal of the Defamatory Articles and Defamatory Videos amply clarify that the Defendants are publishing/ uploading parallel private “investigations” and effectively acting as “courts” to condemn the Applicant and her husband as guilty based on what they claim is “evidence” found by them from their alleged sources, thereby trying to make a mockery of the judicial system.”

Coming back to the case, several people were arrested, but Mumbai police has named Raj Kundra as the key conspirator which has slapped charges against him under Sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292 and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) besides relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

Recently, the former Bollywood actress Somy Ali also reacted to the whole case and said that she doesn’t judge people who choose porn as their profession as long as no one is sexually trafficked.

Meanwhile, the case shocked everyone, including the former actress. Somy wondered why a country, where the Kama Sutra originated, would ban porn.

In a conversation with a news portal, Somy said that, ”The mere taboo of talking about sex or porn ignites more curiosity. Personally, I don’t judge those who choose porn as their profession as long as no one is hurt or sexually trafficked. It is pivotal that there shouldn’t be any sort of coercion. Otherwise, what anyone chooses to do sexually is none of my or anyone’s business. We have no right to judge anyone. I have nothing against people who engage in pornography or those who make it their profession.”

While expressing her thoughts, she further added that, ”sensual scenes have become very common on web series and OTT platforms. This is a major reason why censorship on these platforms has become the talk of the town”.

Somy, who has currently turned into a humanitarian with her NGO, also believes that it’s high time that we talk about sex education in this country. “I deem this to be a cinematic and artistic progression. Intimate love has no meaning without intimacy, hence, kissing or depicting scenes of passion should and must be a norm. It’s a step forward and it’s about time that in 2021 we are able to create such art and be more realistic when it comes to the normalcy of humans being sexual creatures. The more nonchalant our attitude is towards something; the fewer people will have to hide from wanting to admit to what they like or dislike such as watching porn. I must be emphatic that while I don’t judge anyone, it is absolutely unacceptable to me if the artist is being harmed in any pornographic ventures. Other than that I’ve absolutely nothing against porn,” she explains.

Raj Kundra has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody. Meanwhile, the cases against Raj Kundra are registered under the sections of the Indian Penal Code, Information Technology Act, and Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) A.

Not just the pornographic films, Mumbai Police suspects the actress’s husband to have his hands in the betting game as well. According to the Police, he uses the money earned from the films in the betting game. ANI legitimately reported “In the WhatsApp chats, we have found that Raj Kundra was talking about a deal about selling 121 videos for USD 1.2 million. This deal seems to be on the international level.”

Raj Kundra’s lawyer, advocate Subhash Yadav further dragged famous standup comedian Munawar Farooqui into the context saying “Raj Kundra’s arrest is illegal. There is not a single video which can be called pornographic. A 4000 page charge sheet has been filed but the police was not even able to point out any sexually explicit act in the video which demonstrated illegality under section 67a. Rest of the section applied are bailable. The Supreme Court had earlier released Munawar Farooqui on the same grounds.” this statement was made in a interview to ET Times.
