Former Bigg Boss OTT contestant Shamita Shetty has explained why she sometimes lost her cool at co-contestant Raqesh Bapat on the show and called him spineless.

Shamita in an interview agreed that she was at fault, and said even her family told her that she should’ve been kinder to Raqesh. The two formed a bond on the show, and are currently exploring their relationship.

She told Bollywood Bubble, “There are certain moments when I did not speak to him nicely, which is actually a fact. A lot of people, my family also told me that. But see, you have to understand, I’m not condoning what I did, but I think that’s my defence mechanism, and it naturally comes out. I’ve been single for a very long time; I’m used to taking care of myself protecting myself. And in that house, I felt targeted and attacked a lot, because of the person I am, with a strong voice.”

She continued, “I went into defence mode. I, too, did not like the way I spoke to him sometimes. I watched one or two episodes, especially the fights, that one week that was very difficult for us. It was so unpleasant. Even the video they showed me in the house. It didn’t make me feel very nice about myself. That is definitely not something I would want to get back to with him.”

Raqesh and Shamita are in no rush to declare their relationship status, however. They’ve said several times that they are taking slow and discovering new things about each other, now that they are out in the real world. Raqesh admitted that things might get difficult considering that Shamita will soon leave for Bigg Boss 15, which begins on October 2.

Bharti and Haarsh conducted multiple games and tasks to entertain the live audiences for one last time. Housemates also prepared skits and by the end of all of this, they dripped down the swimming pool to cheers the journey they lived being 24*7 live. The semi-finale round, which will take place tomorrow, has four names qualifying. Beating Shamita, Nishant and Muskan, the ones who’ll join Divya tomorrow are Pratik, Neha and Raqesh. When this wasn’t enough to move the contestants, the nomination process was initiated. This time each contestant had to nominate two housemates individually in the confession room. With two votes on each head, Divya Agarwal, Muskan Jattana, Neha Bhasin, Pratik Sehajpal and Shamita Shetty are nominated this week.

In yesterday’s elimination, Akshara Singh and Milind Gaba were eliminated. Since this season’s start, Urfi Javed, Zeeshan Khan, Karan Nath and Ridhima Pandit are out of this house now. Neha Bhasin was definitely a better artist before Bigg Boss OTT but after coming on this show, neither she has gained any fans but have instead lost some. The prolific reason is her strong language and unbalanced emotions. She picks up fights anytime out of any reason, that just puts people in splits and confusion. Another is her lewd and below-the-belt language, street-side slang and disgraceful slurs.

About Raqesh Bapat, then, he may surely be a sorted and solved man but not someone fit for this show. He hasn’t understood the game yet and we guess he never will. He is in FOMO and is still in his cocoon. Just because it was a connection based season, Shamita dragged him this long. But let’s see for how long?

Raqesh is currently locked up inside the Bigg Boss OTT and is paired with Shamita Shetty as a connection. Their budding love has been catching eyeballs and now and then they make headlines. Raqesh, who’s also an artist and a sculptor, has opened up about his Tum Bin days before entering Bigg Boss.

The actor said it was the day when he had called his entire family and parents from Pune for the screening of Tum Bin at Adlabs in Filmcity. “On the same day – July 13, 2001, Aks had released and that screening was happening before us. So we were waiting in the parking lot. Suddenly I see Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, everyone stepping out. Jaya Ji saw me from far away and came to me and said, “You’re that Bapat boy right? I’m so proud to meet you, you’re so promising. I keep telling Abhishek to look out for you.” Refugee had been released a while back. She called Abhishek and he hugged me and said “Dude, every time your promo comes, my mom calls me and says lookout for this guy, he’s your competition,” Raqesh said.

He further added that Jaya Bachchan also introduced Amitabh Bachchan to him, who met him warmly, which gave validation to his parents that Raqesh had made a name for himself in the film industry. “Suddenly I was in front of such legends and I didn’t know what to say. Mr Bachchan said Tum Bin looks like a good film. My entire family was in awe seeing the Bachchans in person. My parents almost fainted I think (laughs). My father was against me taking up this profession. He wanted me to get a job. But this instance changed their entire outlook towards what I was doing. These are the validation you get for the work you do,” he shared.

In the latest episode, the men of the house were asked to pamper their connection during which Bapat won everyone’s hearts. He took care of Shamita throughout the day. Divya Agarwal was seen managing the task and declared them as winners. After this, Divya jokingly asked everyone to leave these two alone. Shamita reacted to the task by saying, “I’m literally in heaven.”

Earlier, Shamita was seen crying as she missed her family and even said that she now wants to go home. To which Raqesh said he is like her family in the house.“I am your little family here,” said Bapat.

As Pratik and Neha ditched their connections to choose each other, Monday didn’t go well. Ahead of which the verbal rift between Team Neha, Pratik, Nishant, and Moose VS Team Akshara and Milind continued to gather the screen time. Later, Zeeshan’s mid-week eviction because of allegedly doing violence, turned the house upside down. Now the group dynamics has Divya, Akshara, and Milind against the whole house.

In spite of consoling Divya’s broken heart, Shamita and Nishant, her good old friends, weren’t compassionate enough to share their shoulders. For this week’s elimination, Neha-Pratik and Milind-Akshara are nominated and they were the ones who the audiences through live voting have given the chance to become this week’s captain.

During the same task on 26th August LIVE, Neha-Pratik won the task with the help of their group members, Nishant, Moose, Shamita, and Raqesh who targeted Akshara-Milind and also allegedly knocked Divya down once. Later, Milind Gaba staged a strike by packing all his bags up and sitting with them near the main gate in order to leave the house. In one episode, Pratik was constantly seen calling Raqesh “spineless.” This triggered the Bossman of the house (Raqesh), and the two got into a huge verbal spat. Raqesh recalled how host Karan Johar also called him ‘spineless’ in last Sunday Ka Vaar episode. After this, Raqesh broke down and was seen in tears.

During his breakdown, Raqesh said, “My father wouldn’t be happy to see me like this!” He further said, “I am an Army personnel’s son, and my father would always tell me to fight for what’s right. He wouldn’t be happy to see me fighting over small matters.”

Raqesh’s team shared a clip of him stating the same. In the clip, Raqesh said that he won’t fight for the wrong cause as he is a son of a soldier.

Since then many have shown their support for Raqesh on social media. Actress and ex-wife Ridhi Dogra came out in his support. Ridhi commented on the post and shared a few wise words for Raqesh.

Ridhi said, “By choosing goodness and humanity one is a winner. Being loud and twisting words and not letting people speak is unfortunately considered entertainment in this world. But there are some of us on the side of humanity. And that’s what matters! @raqeshbapat.

Raqesh revealed that he was hurt more when Nishant, who has been his friend for 15 years now, didn’t say a word in his support. Raqesh said Nishant was a very close friend and he didn’t expect this out of him. He further said that he got Nishant ahead in his life when he was not doing well. Later, Nishant got extremely emotional seeing Raqesh in tears. Nishant said he had never seen Raqesh like this and decided to sort things out with him.

Recently, in one of the episodes, the very calm and composed Raqesh Bapat lost his cool and broke down in tears after a fight with Pratik. Raqesh and Shamita were recently chosen as the Bossman and Bosslady of the house. Along with Moose and Nishant, the two had to decide the weakest connection in the house. During this, Pratik mocked Raqesh and called him spineless numerous times and this did not sit well with the Bossman.

Going all defensive and uncontrollable, Pratik kept calling Raqesh spineless. This triggered Raqesh and he broke down in tears.
