The Satyamev Jayate actor took to his social media handle to reveal his status on Monday. He stated that he was in contact with a COVID positive person three days ago.

“I came in contact 3 days ago with someone who I later learned had COVID. Priya and I have tested positive for COVID. We have been quarantined at home so haven’t been in contact with anyone else,” he wrote on Instagram.

He also stated that that the two of them are experiencing mild symptoms. “”We are both vaccinated and experienced mild symptoms. Please stay well and healthy. Masks up.”

Amid the third wave of the Coronavirus pandemic several B’town celebrities have tested positive for the virus. At first it was Karan Johar who tested positive, later, Kareena Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, Nora Fatehi and Shilpa Shirodkar too shared their positive status. Most recently, Lionel Messi too revealed that he had tested positive for the virus.

It was during last week when actor Arjun Kapoor, his cousin and producer Rhea Kapoor, and her husband Karan Boolani tested positive for COVID-19. Arjun’s sister Anshula Kapoor as well was afflicted with Coronavirus.

However, Rhea shared a post along with a picture from her wedding. In the photo Rhea and Anil can be seen sharing a hug after the ceremony and Anil has tears in his eyes. Moreover, the post read, “Happy birthday to my Soul Twin. @anilskapoor I love you more than I can ever tell you. Best friends forever.”

Arjun Kapoor also shared a series of pictures with uncle Anil. Moreover, Arjun penned down a poem on this special day, it read, “Youth ka Khazana, Joshila Jawaani ka Namuna. Sirf Evergreen hi nahin, Aisi Everlasting beauty kabhi dekhi hi nahin. He ages like fine wine, And makes all other actors whine. Din-b-din young hote rehte hain toh inka kya kasoor, It’s the curious case of Anil Kapoor! P.S. : Happy Birthday to my Jhakkas chachu. What a playa.”

On the other hand, Boney shared an old picture of them and captioned it, “This was on the sets of Judaai in 1995 When he was 39 years of age and I was 40. Today in 2021, 24th December, he looks better and fitter as he celebrates his birthday. Many happy returns of the day, stay blessed and continue to look younger with every passing year.”

However, daughter-actress Sonam shared a bunch of photos of them and captioned it, “Happiest Birthday, daddy! Your courage, humility, and warmth always inspires me. There is no one like you, and I couldn’t have wished for a better father. There may be distance between us but you’re my heart, so you’re always with me. Love you!”

The Kapoor house is all decked up and preparation is going on with full force. It is said to be a three-day celebration with close family and friends involved. The family has not confirmed the news as of yet.

Rhea’s sister Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja also flew down from London to Mumbai last month.

Rhea, who has worked on many Bollywood projects like Aisha and Veere Di Wedding, has been in a relationship with Karan for 13 years. Karen also worked on many ad commercials and also assisted in films like Aisha and Wake up Sid.

On Rhea’s birthday, Karan wrote a heartfelt message for her, “I hope that someday I can bring into your life as much happiness and joy as you have brought me. Wish you a birthday filled with laughter and love and that your next year is even better than your last. Happy Birthday,” he said.

On Monday, the newlyweds shared a little glimpse of their wedding with everyone.

Sharing a photo of the couple, holding hands dressed in white ethics, Rhea wrote, “12 years later, I shouldn’t have been nervous or overwhelmed because you’re my best friend and the best guy ever. But I cried and shook and had stomach flips all the way through because I didn’t know how humbling the experience would be. I’ll always be that girl who had to come home to Juhu at 11 pm before my parents fell asleep,”

She further wrote, “Only until now I didn’t know how lucky I was to feel torn. I hope we make a family so close that we have many, many loves of our life. Mine are @karanboolani @anilskapoor @kapoor.sunita @sonamkapoor and @harshvarrdhankapoor forevermore,” she wrote, tagging her entire family, including parents Anil and Sunita Kapoor and her siblings Sonam and Harsh Vardhan Kapoor.

Husband Karan Boolani also made it official and shared a picture saying, “Yesterday we made it official to the world… but you and I have been ride or die for over a decade and for that I would like to thank four people who have given me a crazy amount of love, respect, encouragement and constant collaboration. First is a film producer, the second is a fashion stylist.. the third is the mother of my daughter lemon and the fourth is the finest cook to have performed miracles in a domestic kitchen..and their names are Rhea Kapoor. To the best decision I’ve ever made. Here’s to us and everything that awaits us together”.

Rhea and Karan’s wedding was a small affair attended by only close family and friends. Rhea’s cousin Rhea’s cousins Arjun Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, uncles Sanjay Kapoor and Boney Kapoor, and aunt Mahdeep Kapoor were all part of the wedding. Her close friends Masaba Gupta and Kunal Rawal also joined.

In a clubhouse session, Sonam opened up about the challenges they faced while filmmaking and how Rhea and Sonam found strength in each other. “As women, we don’t realise that there is more power in numbers. The way my sister (Rhea) and I were bullied through the process of making the film by some of the men in the industry made us realise when there are more of you together, it’s easier to stand up to things and give each other strength. So that was the one thing that was a takeaway from Aisha, that I always knew my sister was my best friend,” said Sonam.

Rhea Kapoor, the producer of the movie, spoke about the hate they received as makers when the movie was released. It was only after many years that it ‘became more accepted’. “What a lot of people don’t know about Aisha is that the film became more accepted and successful many years after its release. Gal Mithhi Mithhi Bol was the only thing that was outright successful. The film made a little bit of money but received a lot of hate initially. People thought we made this film simply because we could, but the release of the film forced us both to grow up a lot,” she said.

The movie also features Ira Dubey, Amrita Puri, Arunoday Singh, Cyrus Sahukar and Lisa Haydon. The film was a semi-hit at the box office.

After a year in London Sonam Kapoor returns to her hometown and the B-town. Welcomed by her father, the daddy’s little girl got all emotional on the airport and drove straight to her father’s place. Since the fashionable actress is back, fans are going crazy over her pregnancy rumors and since then have been congratulating the couple for this amazing news, but the actress decided to clean up for this by her latest Instagram story with a glass of water and a hot water bag and the story said “Hot water bottle and ginger tea for first day of my period…🩸”
Stating that she is menstruating, she has cleared that the rumour of pregnancy was actually a rumour.

Speculations and rumours were afloat around Rhea Kapoor’s next outing that will bring together, Alaya F and Harshvardhan Kapoor. Contrary to rumours, they are not coming together for any film as of now.

When Alaya F was asked about her next films and also these rumours in a recent interview, she said, “I am not at liberty to talk about my forthcoming projects, but I must say a lot of amazing stuff is coming up. As far as the latter part of the question is concerned, well, it’s not true. They (Rhea and Harsh Varrdhan) are wonderful people and I have known Harsh for a long time. He is very well-versed in all things related to movies and it is always fun to have a chat with him. After a feature film, I did a music video and would also like to explore the digital space. I am looking at doing everything and don’t want to restrict myself as a performer to one medium.”

Both Alaya F and Harshvardhan Kapoor are new to the industry. While Alaya made a successful debut with Jawaani Jaaneman alongside Saif Ali Khan and Tabu post which covid became a roadblock, on the other hand Harshvardhan started off his career with a Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directorial titled Mirzya, post which he was also seen in Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.
