The makers of the film celebrate the joy of their success through their social media handle. Through their film they tried to portray the life of Param Vir Chakra-awardee Captain Vikram Batra, from his first posting in the army to his death in the Kargil War. The film was directed by Vishnuvardhan in his Bollywood debut and written by Sandeep Shrivastava and starred Sidharth Malhotra as Batra and Kiara Advani as his girlfriend Dimple Cheema. It was produced by Dharma Productions and Kaash Entertainment, with Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Shabbir Boxwala, Ajay Shah and Himanshu Gandhi serving as co-producers.

The lead actors Sidharth and Kiara have left everybody stunned and with tearful eyes in the end. The film took hearts of many audiences and was watched in over 4100 Indian towns and cities as well as in 210 countries and territories around the world according to the reports.

Sidharth Malhotra took to his instagram handle to post all the behind the scene videos and the music of his new release throughout, after the movie was loved by the audience. People mostly appreciated the bonding that was shown between Captain Vikram Batra and Dimple Cheema which was acted by Sid and Kiara. While Sidharth shared his heartful gratitude to people for appreciating his work and loving the film. He wrote, “Overwhelmed with the love and appreciation that we are receiving for #Shershaah. Thank you everyone for making it the most watched film on @primevideoin.” Where on the other side Kiara thanked the audiences for all the “love, respect and appreciation you have showered on us for #Shershaah.”

Vijay Subramaniam, Director and Head, Content, Amazon Prime Video, India also shares his thoughts for the film. The news of the Sid and Kiara’s relationship is going all round over the social media and people admires them as the perfect couple. Recently after the release of Shershaah both of them shared romantic picture and videos in their social media handle for promotion, which are stealing hearts of all the fans and their followers.

The duo’s romantic attire and gesture and made the town fall in love with them. Sidharth and Kiara was seen looking into each other’s eyes and smiling profusely with the song ‘Kabhii Tumhhe’ from Shershaah in their recent video where the fans gave a lot of comments and praised to the adorable on screen couple.

Earlier the duo was also seen doing romance on the song ‘Ranjha’ from their movie which went viral just few seconds after release on Instagram.

Shershaah was all about the life of Indian army captain Vikram Batra who was awarded with the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest award for valor for his actions during the 1999 Kargil War. The film also portrayed the love and care that he had for his country, family and his fiancée Dimple Cheema.

While talking of the film, Sandeep says that the film reviews say that Kiara had really less scenes in the film and her character was “reduced” to just playing the girlfriend of Captain Vikram Batra. But to this the writer had a different point of view, where he said it was just the perfect timing and role to capture the ‘essence’ of their relationship, considering how little time Dimple and Vikram had actually spent with each other.

In an interview with News18 Sandeep said, “When I was doing my research, and I interacted with Dimple, she said that Captain Batra and she knew each other for four years but the time they spent together was just about 40 days. I think that we have captured the essence of those 40 days, which means a lot to the wonderful lady whom I have a lot of respect. It is the essence of her feelings that is coming through the way Kiara has played the character, and that’s what’s really sticking to people.”

He then added, “So I do not think there was a need to add anything. It’s just the right amount. She is a very integral part of Captain Vikram Batra’s life, you cannot tell his story without his relationship with Dimple, and without what he did in the war. I think what we have done is struck the right balance. There are also so many views, which are just the contrary and they are saying that it is a perfect blend of his personal life and his life as a soldier.”

This depicts that the screenplay writer has done a lot of homework on the life of Captain Batra, for making this film the way it is.

Now, reports suggest that Sheerhah star and Karan Johar are collaborating once again after the massive success of the latest movie. The untitled film is reportedly being executed on a huge scale. Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre will be chaired in the directorial seats. Pushkar has assisted with projects like Kick, War, and Pathan while Sagar has worked on movies like Dhadak, Uri: The Surgical Strike and Mardaani 2. It will be a directorial debut for the two.

While details about the plot and characters are under wraps, a source close to the development disclosed that Pushkar and Sagar have been working on the project for nearly a year now. The film is scheduled to go on the floor this year in November. This will be the eighth film after SOTY, Hasee Toh Phasee (2014), Brothers (2015), Kapoor & Sons (2016), Baar Baar Dekho (2016), Ittefaq (2017), and Shershaah that Malhotra has made under Dharma’s banner. The actor will start shooting for this untitled film after he is done with his spy drama, Mission Majnu and Indra Kumar’s comedy Thank God with Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet.
