The makers of the film had originally planned to shoot that song on September 15, but postponed the schedule, as Shehnaaz was in no position to report on the set. However, it is now reported that Shehnaaz will be shooting the same with the unit on October 7. Meanwhile, Honsla Rakh is set to hit the screens on October 15. Directed by Amarjit Singh Saron, this comedy film also features Sonam Bajwa.

In a recent interview, Producer Diljit Thind expressed, “I was constantly in touch with Shehnaaz’s team and they regularly updated us about her. She is a thorough professional and I am glad that she has agreed to shoot the promotional song with us. We will be shooting either in the UK or India depending on her visa.”

“Shehnaaz Gill has been through a very difficult phase and is still grieving the loss. It must have taken a lot of courage for her to agree to fulfil her professional commitment. She is like family and that’s the reason we don’t wish to impose anything on her. I just want her to get back to her normal work schedule for her own sanity,” Diljit added. 

The ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ actress said she was struck by how unpredictable life is and experienced a strange feeling after the Balika Vadhu actor’s death. In an earlier video, Jasleen had spoken about working with Sidharth Shukla in the series Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and described him as ‘calm and composed’. Now, again this singer-actress has taken to Instagram to share a video of herself lying on a hospital bed with an IV drip fixed on her arms.

In this IGTV video, she is seen expressing, “That day when Sidharth had died and when I went to his family’s house. After listening to the news and looking at the atmosphere in their house, meeting Shehnaaz and aunty (Sidharth’s mother), when I came home, I read messages such as ‘Tum bhi mar jao’. This was the first time in my life I was so affected by such messages.”

“I thought to myself – how unpredictable is life, everything feels so strange. I don’t know what happened but I had a temperature (103 degrees) yesterday and I had to be hospitalised. Take care of yourself and pray that I, too, get well soon,” she concluded. Watch the video here :

Sidharth Shukla died on September 2 after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest. His last rites were performed on September 3 and were attended by numerous celebrities like Shehnaaz Gill, Karanveer Bohra, Rahul Vaidya, Disha Parmar, Rahul Mahajan, Asim Riaz, Aly Goni, Arti Singh among others.

Actor Paras Chhabrra who met Sidharth Shukla in Bigg Boss 13, house shared a short clip from the virtual prayer meeting. In the video, Brahma Kumari sister Shivani talks about Sidharth’s mother- Rita Shukla’s first response to her after her son’s demise.

The clip which was shared by Paras Chhabrra, the Brahma Kumari sister is heard saying, “When I spoke to sister Rita on the phone, Sidharth’s mother, she just said ‘Om Shanti’ from the other side of the line. There was so much stability in that Om Shanti, so much power, I was wondering what kind of energy is this that is communicating through this mother’s voice. Then I asked her–Rita behen are you all right’ And she told me, I have god’s strength. What a great soul is Sidharth that his mother’s soul at that time only had one thought that he will be happy, wherever he goes.”

Paras Chhabrra wrote on Instagram after sharing the video, “Rita aunty, may you find strength, and after hearing this, I have also found strength.”

On Monday, Family also released a statement which reads, Thank you to everyone who supported Sidharth on his journey and showed him a lot of love, because he has now permanently established in our hearts, this love will not cease here.  Also Thank you to the Mumbai Police Department for shielding us and staying with us at all times. Please remember to pray for Sidhartha.

Sidharth Shukla’s family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who had been part of the actor’s journey and had showered him with unconditional love. His last rites took place on Friday (3rd September) in the Oshiwara crematorium.

The Statement issued by the Shukla’s family reads: “Heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been a part of Sidharth’s journey and showered him with unconditional love. It definitely doesn’t end here as he now resides in our hearts forever! Sidharth valued his privacy, hence we request you to allow our family the privacy to grieve. A special Thank You to the Mumbai Police force for their sensitivity and compassion. They have been like a shield, protecting us and standing by us every minute of the day! Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Om Shanti – The Shukla Family.”

The family also thanked Mumbai police for shieling and protecting them and further wrote, “A special Thank You to the Mumbai Police force for their sensitivity and compassion. They have been like a shield, protecting us and standing by us every minute of the day! Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers!” the statement concluded.

Shukla’s family is also organising a prayer meet on Monday, 6 September at 5pm. The meditation will be held by BK Yogani And the Late Actor’s soul will be blessed by sister Shivani and the Brahma Kumaris.

Karanvir Bohra took to his social media, He wrote, “Let’s all come together today at 5pm for special prayers and blessings for our friend #sidharthshukla organized by his mother #ritaaunty and his sisters #neetu and #preeti and sister #shivanididi @brhamakumaris_bk #seeyouagain on the other side bro 🙏.”

Sidharth, undoubtedly had an immense fan following. After this news broke out, Sidharth trended for days on the internet and his fans aren’t still stable mentally. One of the fan pages shared about the loss of his fan who couldn’t bear the pain and passed away the same day.

One of Shukla’s fans has slipped into a partial coma after hearing the news of his untimely death aged just 40. Sidharth was best known for his stints in ‘Balika Vadhu’ and ‘Bigg Boss’. Multiple personalities including Varun Dhawan showed up at his funeral depicting how loved he was in his industry as well. Sidharth Shukla’s demise was the 2nd biggest death controversy after Sushant Singh Rajput’s. During the funeral of the late actor, thousands of paparazzies were present there to just click one last picture of him or to speak to him family. Zakir wrote another heartbreaking poem for this which read, “They don’t think of you as a human being. Not because there aren’t any lines or boundaries. Your corpse is not a body without soul, but an opportunity to click pictures. As many as they can click. It’s similar to how people try to steal crockery from houses burning in a riot. Because after that, what use will you be? At most, 10 pictures, five news pieces, three videos, two stories, one post. That’s it.” these words were true after what we saw at the funeral reports and had touched the heart of everyone who ready it.

He continued, “That’s why your death will only be show for them. Your crying mother is a show, your father, broken by the pain, is a show, your depressed sister, your brother who has lost all hope, anyone who loves you, is a show. It would have been another thing had you been alive. After you, your crying loved ones will only quench their thirst. I’m just saying that this is the life you and I have chosen. Maybe you will regret it a little less if you knew this while you were alive. That’s why you should stay happy with your friends, love your people. Learn new things, make new relationships. Just don’t live for them. Whatever time you have left, live for yourself. Because for them, you aren’t even human.”

Actress Anushka Sharma reposted the words of Zakir Khan on how the death of this celebrity has turned into a ‘tamasha’ or a ‘show’. Earlier she had posted, “Rest in peace Sidharth Shukla. My heartfelt deepest condolences to his family and friends.”

Not just this actress, but music director Vishal Dadlani too reacted to this post because everyone felt the ache in their chest after what happen at the funeral.

Gauhar Khan took to her social media and wrote,  “This is shameful! The media houses all alike should be ashamed of this kind of coverage! Hang your heads if this is what you do to someone who has lost a loved one! Be ashamed, very ashamed. All media houses, you are only about sensationalizing even tragedy.”

With this loss the most affected people are his mother Rita Shukla and rumoured girlfriend Shehnaaz Gill. Report in BollywoodLife suggests that Shehnaaz and Sidharth were engaged and planning to tie the knot by the end of this year in December. The two families were preparing for the film in full joy. The reports read, “They had informed their families who were deep into preparations. Not just this, they were also in talks with a plush Mumbai hotel to book rooms, banquet and other services for the wedding festivities which were planned for a period of three days. The two actors, their friends, and families had kept this a closely guarded secret.”

In an interview with ETimes, Abu Malik the former participant of bigg boss said, “Shehnaaz told me this on March 22, 2020 – I think that this was just a day before the first lockdown.” The music composer had stayed with Shehnaz and Sidharth under the same roof in bigg boss and knew them really well, he also added, “Sidharth used to love her a lot. He would say that agar ek din woh naaraz ho jaati thi, toh uska din kharaab ho jaata tha.”
These reports clearly state why Shehnaz participated in the last rites of this late actor.

Shehbaz has been a constant support after Sidharth’s tragic demise. He has not left his sister or Sidharth’s family alone and was constantly seen supporting them during the cremation of the late actor. He flew directly to Mumbai as soon as he came to know about the actor’s sudden  death and he did this for his sister and Sidharth’s family.  Shehbaz along with Shehnaaz’s parents stood there as shoulder to them.

Jasleen Mathur ex- bigg boss contestant spoke about Shehnaaz and Shehbaz’s gesture in this sensitive situation, said, “She was just sitting at a place, blank, nothing to say, lost in her world. I went up to her, tried talking but all she asked me to do was to sit next to her. I saw how disturbed she was and asked her to sleep. Exhausted, she fell off to sleep. I met her brother, Shehbaaz who is thankfully there for and with her in this grim hour. He will take good care of Shehnaaz, I am sure.”

singer-actor Jasleen Matharu did not share a close bond with the late actor but shared some very good moments during Mujhse Shaadi Karoge, which also featured Shehnaaz Gill. She says that it was too early for him to leave and being a well-wisher she thought that it was her duty to be there to pay her condolences to his family.

Commenting on Shehnaaz Gill’s reactions, she said to the media, “Shehnaaz had a blank look on her face. I don’t think she was conscious of what was going around. She seemed lost. As I went to her, I remember she asked me to sit beside her. Shehnaaz was completely exhausted and emotionally drained,” She further says that Sidharth’s mother and sister is also passing a hard time.

Recalling the time that they spent together in sets, she says, “We did not get a lot of time together but he was so cool and calm on set. Also, he was a thorough professional and so talented. I think he deserved every bit of love that he got because of his dedication to his craft. We really wanted to see more of him. It wasn’t his time to go.”

My son Shehbaaz has left for Mumbai to be with her and I will be going later. I am not in the condition to talk right now. I cannot believe whatever has happened.”
